In the video of this post, Chad, of Good Fight Ministries interviewed Doreen Virtue on ‘Christian’ yoga. She spoke for about 5 minutes after his brief introduction, providing numerous specific warnings as she described several poses and the Hindu gods / demons these poses mimic. The following commentary on Psalm 63:3, by The Expositor’s Bible Commentary, speaks of the rewards of seeking God fervently. The commentary on the entire Psalm is pasted in for those who might want to read it. As encouragement to do so, check out the one sentence with which MacArthur’s commentary described 63:3: better than life. God’s covenant love is more valuable to David than life itself (cf. Php_1:21; Act_20:24). Those verses: Philippians 1:21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Acts 20:24 But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God. The words from Expositor’s commentary are a wonderful read that fill out the understanding regarding those two verses.

In December, Amy Grant became the first Contemporary Christian Musician to receive an artistic achievement award from the White House. A few days later, she reportedly hosted her niece’s same-sex marriage — such support of LGBTQ is likely what qualified her to be the first artist in CCM to receive such an “honor.” Numerous other CCM artists are identified as supporting this unbiblical movement. “Professing Christians who lust for sex, money and the world’s approval will show what they truly worship.” Be discerning and do not get caught up in this apostasy….
Mike Gendron used around 40 slides to discuss the significant points of difference between the Protestant biblical gospel and the Roman Catholic Church (RCC) un-biblical gospel. His slides contained information which he added to as he discussed the opening graph of a timeline of the Christian church. He pointed out each departure of the RCC from God’s word. [It was a thorough presentation for being so short, 64 minutes. If you’re not clear on the specifics of how the RCC gospel differs from that of the Protestant evangelical church, then you will likely learn a lot by carefully attending to his points. He does get into the departure of evangelicalism from the Bible also, especially regarding the ecumenical movement spearheaded by the Pope, the Manhattan Declaration, regarding that movement, is attached in pdf form.]
Did you know over half of professing Christianity denies or rejects the Gospel’s divine promise of eternal life? Our Lord Jesus made His gracious and unbreakable promise very clear: “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life” (John 5:24). [Then Mike talked about this via the following subheadings: Power of Almighty God; Promises of Our Great God and Savior; Perpetual Intercession of Jesus; Proof of Christ’s Unconditional Love; Protection of the Good Shepherd; Permanence of Divine Gifts; Plain Meaning of the Word “Eternal.” In conclusion, he asked 7 rhetorical questions.]
The video in this post is a podcast of Pastor Patrick Hines wherein he addresses Christian suffering. He used the text of 1 Peter 1:3-9 and after a brief intro, talked about a Christian pastor who committed suicide, and near the end, he discussed a man who was tortured by Vladimir Lenin’s officers and imprisoned for more than a decade. The latter, grew immeasurably from his ordeal and was more used by God…. Much was said about each man and his response / reaction to afflictions sent by our Sovereign God. You can learn something from Pastor Hines teaching to deal with the afflictions God sends into your life. He discusses a couple of useful books in the podcast.
