Baha’i Book of Certitude ERRORS, Part 5 [words about Jesus]

This post contains a very brief recap of the content of the initial 4 posts on this topic, then critiques paragraphs 17-20 of the introduction to the Baha’i Book of Certitude written by Shoghi Effendi, grandson of Baha’u’llah, founder of the Baha’i Faith. The purpose of these posts is to show that Effendi’s accounts of biblical passages do not resemble those in the Bible. He fabricated and twisted Bible scriptures, in most instances, to support his purpose….

Gospel Meditation on Romans 3:20-28 – From Pastor Patrick Hines’ Sermon

This post contains a 24-minute explanation of God’s righteousness, as is proclaimed in scripture, particularly, Romans. Many professors of Christianity do NOT understand what Pastor Hines explains herein. He focused on Romans 3, but also made some general statements about what is contained in the epistle of Romans. He also used the apostle Paul’s presentation of the gospel in light of a couple of statements from Isaiah and Jeremiah to show that salvation is by grace, not keeping the commandments. Video preceded by overview points.

Baha’i Faith Book of Certitude, ERRORS, Part 4

This post examines two paragraphs from the Baha’i Book of Certitude that are about Moses. Scripture is used to show that Shoghi Effendi’s purpose was achieved by grossly twisting scripture. Or I should say that the Moses he presented in his writing is not the Moses found in the Bible. I pasted in scriptures about Moses so that they might be contrasted with his statements. You will find that there is no resemblance.

Baha’i Faith Book Of Certitude, ERRORS, Part 3

This post contains one paragraph from the introduction to the Baha’i Book of Certitude. My purpose is to show readers the basic, but huge errors made by Shoghi Effendi. Biblical text is being used as a standard. Baha’is claim that the Bible is part of the divine revelation of their own faith and they are encouraged to read the Bible.

Baha’i Faith Book of Certitude – Huge Errors Regarding the Citing of Scripture, Part 1

Today I am beginning a series on the Kitab-i-iqan, The Book of Certitude of the Baha’i Faith. This initial post is an introduction with a few relevant remarks regarding introductory text from the Book of Certitude and the Bible. This book was apparently written by the leader of the Baha’i Faith, Baha’u’llah. My focus will be to cite the errors this work contains, regarding the Bible only. In the intro, for example, Shoghi Effendi, grandson of the founder, made numerous errors when he explained the actions of biblical characters in relation to this work. I am calling his statements erroneous because he speaks of biblical characters in ways that differ widely from the Bible. Examples will show these errors clearly.

The Adoption of the Believer, by Dr. John MacArthur

Salvation is by faith apart from works. Those who have come to Christ by faith are no longer slaves, but adopted sons of God, heirs …All religions and false Christian sects, teach that people are delivered from judgment, saved, by their works: morality [kindness, church attendance, tithing, penance, helping the poor…] …THAT IS SATAN’S BIG LIE; every society since the fall has believed it [and it is currently believed in the western world] …The gospel of faith alone in Christ had been buried by the Roman Catholic Church for 1000 years or so before the protestant reformation [view the movie Luther for a quick study on the reformation and for a glimpse of RCC heresy]

The Significance of Passover, R.C. Sproul

The 23 minute lesson by R C Sproul in this post instructs on the connectedness among the following ceremonies and doctrines: the Passover; the Lord’s Supper; Salvation from the wrath of God by Christ’s atoning work; Calvary; and the resurrection. Listeners will better understand the relatedness of all these ceremonies and events. Those who never understood how it was that Christ is the only way of salvation from God the Father’s wrath against sin, will be given a clear picture of that reality.

The Baha’i Faith and Christian Denominations Who Combine The Law and The Gospel To Create A Way Of Salvation ERR Fatally

This post uses scripture from Galatians to show that there is only one way of salvation, faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. The Baha’i Faith, and many Christian denominations mix the law and the gospel to create a way that does not lead to salvation; blending elements of the biblical system of law with the new covenant gospel way of faith creates a false way that leads only to damnation. Even though the apostle Paul used many words in Romans, Galatians and elsewhere to clarify this very important matter, many still err. Paul undoubtedly spent so much time on this matter because pride moves us all to think we can make our own way to God.
