A Sad Day For Conservatives And Christians

As 2 Corinthians 10, Ephesians 6 and many other places in the Bible make clear, the Christian’s weapons are not worldly. Our weapons are the righteousness of justification, faith, prayer, abiding in His word for direction and enablement, fellowship with Him and His children…which enable us to endure the hard knocks we are promised to receive from the world.  Also, I have been freshly reminded that spiritual warfare is happening all around us 24-7-365; and we need God’s grace and Spirit to endure. …God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.

Trump Promises ‘Orderly Transition’ After Biden Certified as President-Elect: Epoch Times

President Donald Trump early Jan. 7 promised there would be an orderly transition on Jan. 20, while vowing to continue to fight to better America. “Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out, nevertheless there will be an orderly transition on January 20th. I have always said we would continue our fight to ensure that only legal votes were counted,” Trump said in a statement. “While this represents the end of the greatest first term in presidential history, it’s only the beginning of our fight to Make America Great Again!” Congress certified Joe Biden as president-elect around 3:45 a.m.

Senate Votes to Reject Objection to Electoral College Votes for Pennsylvania: Epoch Times

After a number of senators changed their minds in challenging the votes after the assault of the Capitol, Hawley’s office indicated that he would stay the course and mount a formal objection as planned to Pennsylvania’s electoral votes favoring Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden. “Pennsylvania, which is a state that I have been focused on as an example as to why people are concerned. Millions of Americans are concerned about our elections integrity,” Hawley said of the Keystone State during the Arizona debate. He called out Pennsylvania lawmakers over enacting new procedures regarding mail-in ballots.

Woman Fatally Shot Inside US Capitol Identified as Air Force Veteran Ashli Babbit: Reports: Epoch Times

The woman who died after being shot inside the Capitol building amid acts of violence that occurred during a demonstration over concerns about the way the 2020 election has been handled, has been identified, according to multiple reports. Family members have identified the woman shot and killed on Capitol grounds on Jan. 6 as Ashli Babbitt, an Air Force vet from California and Trump supporter. Video footage captured the moment she was struck in the chest and fell to the floor. …It is not yet clear who was behind the shooting, however, law enforcement sources told the New York Post that she was shot by Capitol Police.

Protesters Flood Statehouses in 17 States: Epoch Times

Supporters of President Donald Trump flocked to the capitals of more than a dozen states on Jan. 6 as a group of protesters in Washington broke into the U.S. Capitol. Small and mostly peaceful protests challenging the legitimacy of the 2020 election took place outside the statehouses in Arizona, California, Mississipi, Tennessee, Minnesota, Georgia, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Washington, Ohio, Oregon, Kansas, Hawaii, Wisconsin, and South Carolina. Signs saying “Stop the steal” and “Four more years” were common throughout amid the president’s ongoing dispute of the election results in seven states. Only a few arrests were reported and scuffles broke out in states like Ohio and California.
