Gospel Witnessing via the street preaching of Ray Comfort

The two very short videos below are examples of Ray Comfort, of Living Waters Ministry, engaging in street preaching. He has posted many such videos on YouTube that you might want to explore.

Videos about the street preaching of Comfort and Friel posted in this blog are intended to provide ideas to anyone desiring to begin witnessing Christ.

In the first video, Ray Comfort deals with a lie that all people seemingly believe before they are born again. I would have had to respond just like the girl in his interview:

In the following video, Ray Comfort is witnessing to a young Roman Catholic girl; therein, he states a few distinctions between the Catholic and Protestant churches regarding following scripture.

In closing, I just want to say that watching this interviewee reminded me of a huge problem that all Christians are likely familiar with if they are paying attention: being so focused on earthly things that they neglect spiritual things. For example, staying up with social trends; earning a living; doing the necessary things of life and looking forward to some recreational activities, some diversions….

Being totally involved in earthly things and forgetting the spiritual realm, the things of God, sin, heaven, hell, is a fatal error.

Consider the following verses regarding the problem of worldliness [these words from Matthew are Jesus speaking]:

Mat 4:17 From then on Jesus began to preach, “Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near. ”

Mat 5:27 “You have heard the commandment that says, ‘You must not commit adultery.’
Mat 5:28 But I say, anyone who even looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
Mat 5:29 So if your eye—even your good eye—causes you to lust, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.
Mat 5:30 And if your hand—even your stronger hand—causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.

[That is, do whatever it takes to stop indulging in your lusts.]

Heb 9:27 And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment,

Act 17:30 “God overlooked people’s ignorance about these things in earlier times, but now He commands everyone everywhere to repent of their sins and turn to Him.
Act 17:31 For He has set a day for judging the world with justice by the Man He has appointed, and He proved to everyone who this is by raising Him from the dead.”

See Categories, Unbiblical Teachers/ teachings, Prosperity Gospel: The Highway to Hell.… In that post video, Dr. MacArthur preached a wonderful message about the narrow and wide gates of Matthew 7. It is the best sermon I have heard on that passage of scripture and is worthy of listening to many times, meditated upon, that it might be understood and applied.
