The following 59 minute sermon by Dr. John MacArthur is an exposition of Romans 1:18ff with the purpose of showing how it is that America is experiencing God’s wrath of abandonment.
After he explains the 5 types of wrath in the Bible, he describes the wrath of abandonment and identifies the progression that has occurred in our society using Romans 1: 18-32. If you have read posts 1-3 on Paganism, then you should easily understand his explanation.
His explanation describes very clearly how a people can be created in the image of God and end up worshipping satan; as illustrated in the worship ceremony at Gotthard Tunnel; and in the beliefs held by Aleister Crowley.
He uses scripture to offer hope in closing his exposition.
It is important to practice self-examination; if you notice that you are on a downward spiral spiritually, then repent, turn to God’s word and prayer, seeking His enabling grace to draw near to Him.
