This post contains a very brief recap of the content of the initial 4 posts on this topic, then critiques paragraphs 17-20 of the introduction to the Baha’i Book of Certitude written by Shoghi Effendi, grandson of Baha’u’llah, founder of the Baha’i Faith. The purpose of these posts is to show that Effendi’s accounts of biblical passages do not resemble those in the Bible. This post examines two paragraphs from the Baha’i Book of Certitude that are about Moses. Scripture is used to show that Shoghi Effendi’s purpose was achieved by grossly twisting scripture. Or I should say that the Moses he presented in his writing is not the Moses found in the Bible. I pasted in scriptures about Moses so that they might be contrasted with his statements. You will find that there is no resemblance.
Some false teachings seem to produce genuine healings, such as Christian Science, new age, reiki, shamanism, NAR, and hyper-charismatic word of faith teachers and false apostles and prophets. Justin Peters, who has endured cerebral palsy his entire life and wrote his Masters Thesis on this topic, explains these are often psychosomatic temporary healings, or spiritual warfare demons causing symptoms in order to lead people to false teachers. This post takes a short passage from Shoghi Effendi’s introduction to the Baha’i Book of Certitude, a portion wherein he discussed Noah, and uses scripture to show how scripture was twisted to fit Shoghi Effendi’s purpose. That purpose is also stated in the critique.
Today I am beginning a series on the Kitab-i-iqan, The Book of Certitude of the Baha’i Faith. This initial post is an introduction with a few relevant remarks regarding introductory text from the Book of Certitude and the Bible. This book was apparently written by the leader of the Baha’i Faith, Baha’u’llah. My focus will be to cite the errors this work contains, regarding the Bible only. In the intro, for example, Shoghi Effendi, grandson of the founder, made numerous errors when he explained the actions of biblical characters in relation to this work. I am calling his statements erroneous because he speaks of biblical characters in ways that differ widely from the Bible. Examples will show these errors clearly.
The purpose of this post is to show what has happened to the values of, SBC preacher, J D Greear between the years of 2014 and 2021. He flip-flopped from holding biblical doctrine to holding un-biblical doctrine. In the initial video, from 2014, you will hear Pastors Voddie Baucham, Russell Moore and J D Greear discussing gay marriage. These men also say a lot about biblical marriage and what has happened via cultural influences. Each man was pro-Bible in his doctrine. In the second video, 2021, you will hear what J D Greear said then about gay marriage and homosexuality. His doctrinal stance had become anti-Bible. This post contains a 58-minute video of a Justin Peters’ interview. He was speaking with woman’s Bible teacher, Susan Heck about Beth Moore. Peters asked specific questions to Susan Heck via which she critiqued Beth Moore. The initial part of the interview covered errors in Moore’s content, then about complementarianism vs egalitarianism; then miscellaneous questions about husbands and wives…. Below the video are links to various credible women’s Bible teachers and authors, resources for a variety of topics mentioned during the interview. I was very moved to learn, during Justin’s introduction, that Susan Heck has memorized the entire New Testament during her 30 years of ministering to women; her husband is a preacher who has done the same.
I have never heard of enneagrams, but if you attend a trendy Christian church, you may have. If that is the case, then please listen to this 10-minute video by a biblical Christian pastor. He goes through the process of ‘testing the spirits’ regarding the enneagram. You will learn about from where, whom it derives; whether it is biblical…. If you would know more, the following link is to a video interview at Doreen Virtue’s YouTube site, the topic is ‘Why I Quit Using The Enneagram.’ In case you do not know Doreen, she was a New Age guru, having written much and spoke much to audiences on the New Age. She was converted to Christianity about a decade or so ago and speaks against all those things today.
The following one-minute video is an excellent biblical critique of the CRT-WOKE-Church movement; those who embrace it are rejecting the true, biblical gospel. Consider Jesus’ words about such teachers: Matthew 15:8 “‘This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me; 9 in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’”
