False Christian teachings, trends….
This post contains a 20-minute sermon and the transcript from Alistair Begg. He apparently addressed the sermon to college youth. I heard it today before church and thought it to be an excellent sermon that has a lot to say to all age groups, especially the elderly like myself. It is based on Ecclesiastes 12.
In a study (pdf) reexamining data on 44 children ages 12 to 15, researchers found that up to 34 percent of trans teens with gender dysphoria taking the puberty blocker triptorelin self-reported declined mental health. At the same time, up to 29 percent reported improvement, while 37 percent reported no change in mental health status. This contrasts previous findings from the original 2021 study that indicated this same age group reported neither harm nor benefit after taking triptorelin for at least one year. …Triptorelin falls under a class of medications known as gonadotropin-releasing hormones (GnRH), designed to cause the synthesis and release of two sex hormones: luteinizing hormone and follicle-stimulating hormone. In men, these two hormones prompt the testes to stimulate testosterone production, and in women, induce the ovaries to synthesize estrogen chemically.

What have these 5-year-old students been told about the nature of right, wrong and truth by their teachers? Who has become ‘God’ in this scenario?

The initial couple of minutes of the video explaining Washer’s booklet cover the following points: who is God; what is man – it is essential that believers understand these two points from a biblical perspective; what God has done to satisfy His own justice and to simultaneously be able to show mercy to the wicked; why was the resurrection necessary; what does it mean to believe; how can you know that you believe; what does it mean to repent; how can you know that you actually have repented; what is assurance and how can you grow in it….
This post contains a Ken Ham video. He defined worldview, and explained how it is that a person arrives at his/her worldview. Then he explained how contemporary churches err in not teaching Genesis 1-11, those chapters are the foundation of all Christian doctrine and a Christian must understand them to have a biblical Christian worldview. Social issues such as abortion, gay marriage… must be dealt with via discussions about worldview; to discuss those issues as though they are problems unrelated to worldview (as most Christians presently do) is to wrongly address them….

This first of three posts on love is about verse biblical love as in the following verse: Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. This article takes scripture from the entire Bible about love, and marriage. The next post will be a sermon specifically about the Galatians verse above; and the third post, on the three types of love discussed in the Bible.
The following video is being posted to provide information that might help Christians learn what intimacy looks like. I’m not suggesting that psychology has answers to the big questions for Christians, but I believe the video might give a Christian insight into his / her behavior regarding things that are keeping them from experiencing greater intimacy with God, themselves and the important people in their lives.

There is a purpose for breasts, and they are not simply sex objects that people stare at. They are so much more. Nursing is an incredible experience, both for the mother and the child. There is bonding going on… pheromones that are being shared. Oxytocin, the trust hormone and the bonding hormone, is being released in the mother and the child…. …I received responses from 500 parents in 17 different countries. I have an appendix to the book where I gathered the valuable and touching input that I got from those parents. It’s parent-to-parent advice, because who knows better than the parents who have already gone through it, some of them for many years?
