The two theological systems explained in 5 minutes!

Calvinism emphasizes the sovereignty of God; Arminianism emphasizes the free will of man.

Calvinism named after John Calvin

Arminianism named after Jacob Arminius

Typically Calvinism is found in Presbyterian, Congregational & Reformed Churches.

Churches that hold to Arminian theology are the United Methodists, Pentecostals including the Assemblies of God, Wesleyan Churches as well as the Salvation Army.

Baptist & Nondenominational churches can go either way.
