The Glory of Christ’s Great Kingdom: Dr. Jeff Mayfield

Dr. Mayfield opened his video with a contrast between the kingdom in which we live, and the kingdom of heaven; ours is presently shaking, Christ’s kingdom will never be shaken.

He proceeded to explain how it is that Christ prepares us for fellowship in eternity; and the role of His Spirit and the word in the transformation we will necessarily undergo. In the process, he talked about some of the changes we will experience.

In other words, biblical Christianity, and the means by which a believer experiences that kind of Christianity, are held up before us.

I was unable to upload Mayfield’s video, please click on the following link to view it; while you are there, I highly recommend that you subscribe to his site; he produces one or two brief videos a week on weighty topics that all Christians ought to understand:

The following words were below this video on Jeff Mayfield’s YouTube site:

In this video, we take a look at Communion With God by John Owen. In this video we discuss Part 2, Chapter 3, Digression 1.

For other sermons by Dr. Mayfield in this blog, see: Categories:  John Owen; Jonathan Edwards; Thomas Brooks; and Calvin’s Institutes. In all instances, very brief videos were used to discuss difficult topics which were made user friendly, so to speak — easy to understand, by Dr. Mayfield.

Jeff Mayfield has served as senior pastor of Stony Hill Baptist Church since September 2013. Having attended church since birth, the Lord saved him during his second year of college.
