I am listening through Ryle’s book on Amazon’s Audible: Holiness: Its Nature, Hindrances, Difficulties, and Roots. I was pierced by Ryle’s many insights into Lot’s wife, based on Jesus’ statement, “Remember Lot’s Wife.”
I uploaded two videos from Ryle’s audiobook, from the YouTube site Sermon Library: #13 of 23 is about Lot being a beacon; and #14, A woman to be remembered.
Ryle’s observations about Lot and his wife are very deep; but those of Lot’s wife I found most troubling; but they are very important considerations to any serious Christian.
Why? So that you are not being hardened by your privileges such that you end up going to hell.
The female reader is somewhat monotonous, and so is the male who reads the Audible version, but the content is highly valuable to all Christians, especially in 2020.
