Psalm 23: why does God call us sheep?

The following videos are intended to show Christian readers how much care a sheep requires; how incapable they are of caring for themselves, and so on, that we might see clearly why we are called sheep and He is called our Shepherd.

The following 4 minute video is about a little lamb that was rescued by a family that rescues animals. The little lamb is very precious and playful, but he is like a new Christian in that he needed much help to survive.

The following 19 minute video is part one of the book: A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23 by W. Phillip Keller. He was a sheep farmer and knew well the kinds of care sheep required to survive and thrive. He talks about that in terms of Christ caring for His sheep. The book is great for getting insight into how Christ actually cares for His sheep. (I think that the second video, part 2, is not available on YouTube. Likely, one has to purchase the audio book or the book to get the full story; if you like what you hear, then you might want to do that, or buy a new or used copy of the little book.)

The last video is 23 minutes in length and is a commentary on Psalm 23 from the Treasury of David by C. H. Spurgeon. The commentary is read by a volunteer from Stillwaters Revival Books which the last few moments of the video reference.
