This brief post is intended to show readers the connections between prosperity preaching and other unbiblical elements in our current society. These topics will be summarized herein and those who desire further information will be directed to other posts in this blog.
Firstly, my series on Paganism shows how the social goals of Aleister Crowley and psychologist, Carl Jung contributed to the decline of Christianity in the 20th century by promoting sexual revolution (from free love to transgenderism, with the goal of androgyny which is almost upon us); materialism; selfishness; opposition to Christianity and so on.
The following are Aleister Crowley’s goals aimed at changing culture and religion:
- To usher in the New Age of the AntiChrist via:
- The drug revolution
- The sexual revolution
- The synthesis of western occultism with eastern mysticism
- The rebellion against all authority, especially Christianity
- The establishment of a new world order.
Crowley called his followers to obey the “Law of Thelema,” the law of self, which amounts to his propagating utter selfishness and complete gratification of the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and pride. Bible readers know that these are opposed to Christianity.
Jung and Crowley were both students of eastern religion and yoga. They each were familiar with numerous types of yoga and practiced eastern meditation.
Jung, a psychologist, was also an occultist. He kept the latter hidden, speaking of occultic related topics via scientific language so as not to alarm colleagues.
Jung contributed in a major way to the acceptance of occultism and its synthesis with psychology and eastern mysticism; also, of its acceptance in academia. He taught that psychological wellness was achieved by integrating all the aspects of one’s personality. Methods to achieve that included knowing one’s spirit guide via eastern meditation and sexual promiscuity. Jung’s ideas contributed immensely to the 1960s sexual revolution which is the third point of Crowley’s social goals above; and in a lesser way to several other of Crowley’s goals; however, each man’s work did assault Christ’s church by promoting social opposition; unbiblical conduct; unbelief in the Bible; and idolatry (as seen in the worship of self and of the creation instead of God).
The worldviews, morality and values of these men directly opposed Christianity.
Prosperity preaching lines up with Crowley and Jung’s goals and opposes the Bible in the following ways:
- Christ commands that His followers pick up their cross, deny themselves and follow Him. Prosperity preachers directly oppose Christ’s words by lying to their audiences that Christ wants his followers to be happy, prosperous, etc.; that they are little gods that can create their desires…
- The lies of prosperity preachers get their followers focused on themselves, on prosperity, on the world…and take their eyes off Christ, their only hope of salvation from God’s wrath against sin
- The message of prosperity preachers promotes worldliness, unbiblical values, materialism, sensuality…(via the gratification of all their lusts for things); therefore, The prosperity preachers’ focus is actually recommending Crowley’s law of Thelema
- The worldviews of those who follow prosperity preachers cannot help but be in line with the worldviews of Crowley’s and Jung’s anti-Christian followers: the gratification of their lusts of the flesh, eyes and pride via greed for prosperity puts them on the broad road to destruction, the same road the one-world pagans are racing down
- The messages of prosperity preachers, Crowley, Jung…are all the ideas of men (and demons); some are based on reason, some on mysticism; but none are from God’s word
- The systems discussed below are also from man, not God, please remember that huge red flag as you read about them; if you read your Bible, then you know what Proverbs says about the ways of men, they may seem right, but are not
(There are likely many other points that could be listed which have not yet occurred to me. I will write on them as they are realized.)
Feminism is also related to the ubiquitous pagan movement of our time. Note how similar the following women’s movement demands are to Crowley’s goals (the 6th post in the series on Paganism addresses this movement):
Women’s movement demands:
- Female deities, and that nature be sacred (as seen in Gotthard tunnel ceremony, post 2 of series on paganism)
- Human will supreme; no laws of discipline (such as the ten commandments); sex to have free course (as began during the 1960s; and as seen in A. Crowley’s goals)
- No original sin; no good or evil; no sacred text
The last point in their list is happening in the church now. I read about a high official of one church stating that the idea of “sin” is no longer a viable concept or something to the effect that we in the 21st century no longer need to concern ourselves with sin. Christ’s word states otherwise. But if you desire to be politically correct, you must follow this unbiblical thinking. By the way, those who adhere to political correctness, are basically part of the pagan, one-world movement already; some still call themselves Christians, they are so only nominally.
Most of Christianity presently does not follow the Bible, or they devise their own ways to worship while they claim to follow God’s word. If you disagree, then you might want to read through the Bible this year, using a study Bible. While you do so, pay attention to the sermons you’re hearing and the elements of worship at your church and read about trends occurring in the church. This blog has many posts on the modern gospel; Spurgeons downgrade controversy; pragmatism; prosperity preaching; mysticism in the church (entering via the emergent church and via yoga practitioners) and so on. These are all unbiblical forces. The choice that is always being presented to you amounts to the following: follow God via His word; follow man via his man-made doctrines that seem wise and that are usually politically correct; please God; or please man….
The emphasis on grace and the absence of preaching on sin in mainstream evangelicalism is also against the Bible and in support of paganism / political correctness.
The current egalitarian movement is certainly unbiblical; according to the goals of Crowley, Jung and the women’s movement stated above, the egalitarian movement would have to also be categorized as Pagan.
STUDY RECOMMENDATIONS:
***In the Yoga post of 2018, eastern meditation is explained such that you can understand how it opposes Christianity and bolsters paganism. For example it facilitates divination, which is unbiblical; it also aids in obtaining fresh (demonic) revelation and much more. The two videos of that post enable one to understand the connection between yoga, yoga meditation, divination…and the current unbiblical trends in our society that are overwhelming churches with the satanic spirit of worldliness.
For example, the emergent church promotes eastern religion and eastern meditation; The mainstream evangelical church promotes yoga and eastern meditation: many practitioners likely do not know that eastern meditation is unbiblical; or that yoga causes the release of the demonic kundalini spirit.
All of these things are facilitating paganism and hampering Christianity.

***Dr. Peter Jones, in his book, The Other Worldview, noted that practitioners of eastern meditation include shamans of ancient pagan religion; and their experiences differ little, if at all, from 21st century wiccans, satanists….
Hence, if you practice yoga and meditation, you are moving towards shamanistic experiences, and away from Christianity, despite what modern, trendy Christians say and believe.
