Loving God More Than Self Is A Miracle: Dr. Jeff Mayfield

Dr. Mayfield is explaining a Jonathan Edwards sermon from 1Co 13:5  Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

That is, that God expects us to love with a generous spirit, not looking for something in return; loving enemies….

He explains that if one loves in such a manner, then that love is from God’s Spirit.

For other sermons by Dr. Mayfield in this blog, see: Categories:  John Owen; Jonathan Edwards; Thomas Brooks; and Calvin’s Institutes. In all instances, very brief videos were used to discuss difficult topics which were made user friendly, so to speak — easy to understand, by Dr. Mayfield.
