John MacArthur Q&A: Is The Rapture Going To Be Soon?

In the following 3-minute video excerpt, the questioner asked pastor MacArthur if he thought the rapture would be soon, based on all the trouble in the world.

His answer included the following considerations:

  • Nothing needs to happen before the rapture of the church [all necessary prerequisite events have already occurred or are possible based upon the technological possibilities of this society]
  • The tribulation is described in the chapter 6-19 of Revelation
  • People used to wonder what kind of event could cause a third of the people on earth to perish, our technology today makes that possible via chemical warfare
  • We are moving towards a cashless society wherein if the authorities do not want you to be able to eat, they will cancel you and you will not be able to purchase food…
