‘It’s Disgusting & It’s Despicable’: Katie Britt Gives Passionate Speech Denouncing Border Crisis

The last two posts were about individual Christians repenting and praying for national repentance because the woes of this nation are so terrible that they are beyond fixing on the human level. [A link to yesterday’s post can be found at the bottom of this post.]

Today, we have a current assessment of some of those national problems that are seemingly beyond the abilities of our government to repair.

The second video is an excerpt of Dr. John MacArthur’s description of our national status. In the sermon, he indicated that America is past the point of returning to God, as revealed in Romans 1.

Does that mean we should throw in the towel?  No. There is a 4-minute video and scriptures below MacArthur’s video that suggest what Christians should do.

The Forbes News video below supplies numerous topics worthy of prayer and for solemn consideration today, and when you vote 13 months from now:

“During a press briefing last week about the southern border, Sen. Katie Britt (R-AL) spoke about President Biden’s handling of the southern border and demanded action.”

The following video is from the YouTube site: Forbes Breaking News; narrative and links that accompanied the video are at the end of this post:

12-minute John MacArthur assessment of the divine judgment that America is currently reaping. MacArthur noted that the divine judgment we are experiencing is not reversible by the government, it is not possible for leaders to reverse it. He also noted that it wasn’t Biden’s doing, but God’s.

Below MacArthur’s video, one possible solution is explored.

Below, Pastor Nelson called for EACH Christian to pray for God’s mercy of deliverance for themselves and for our nation. Even if it is too late for this nation, it is not too late to pray to God for yourself, loved ones and the nation. To do so is to view others as God commands in Matthew 22, to love God and your neighbor as yourselves.

2 Chronicles 7:13  When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command the locust to devour the land, or send pestilence among my people, 14  if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

SCRIPTURES CALLING FOR PRAYER:

1 Timothy 2:1  First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, 2  for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.

Jeremiah 29:7  But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the LORD on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.

James 5:16  Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.

2 Chronicles 7:14  if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

SCRIPTURES CALLING ONE TO HUMBLING SELF [bracketed statements and emboldening are mine]:

James 4:9  Be wretched and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10  Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.

Jeremiah 31:8  Behold, I will bring them from the north country [where they were exiled in judgment for their sinful rebellion] and gather them from the farthest parts of the earth, among them the blind and the lame, the pregnant woman and she who is in labor, together; a great company, they shall return here. 9  With weeping [with the mourning of repentance] they shall come, and with pleas for mercy [praying for mercy] I will lead them back, I will make them walk by brooks of water, in a straight path [the Lord’s guidance to an obedient people] in which they shall not stumble, for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn. 10  “Hear the word of the LORD, O nations, and declare it in the coastlands far away; say, ‘He who scattered Israel will gather him, and will keep him as a shepherd keeps his flock.’
