False Christian teachings, trends….
This post has videos that used Voddie Baucham and Paul Washer to critique preachers such as Billy Graham, Steven Furtick and Rick Warren. Mostly the critiques involved the use of ‘the sinner’s prayer.’ There is a list of points discussed prior to each video so that readers do not have to waste time listening to a video that has nothing that interests them.
The 3 minute video in this post is an excerpt of John MacArthur speaking about Brian McLaren and the Emergent Church movement. MacArthur mocked McLaren’s claim to possess ‘secret knowledge’ about Jesus, saying that Jesus ‘revealed’ his gospel to all. Other statements by MacArthur indicate that McLaren puts Christianity on the same level as other religions; and that McLaren believed he was promoting a man-made solution to the impact of sin upon the earth. There is only one solution for sin and its effects, the gospel of Jesus Christ.
This post showcases the unbiblical, man-centered popular messages of 5 socially acceptable evangelical preachers. They are ‘woke’ and have a popular message that many are afraid NOT to follow, but if you are in a church that has a preacher like these, you ought to leave it immediately because you are on the broad way to destruction. The 6 minute video in this post shows pastor Steven Furtick, of Elevation church, saying to his congregation, “The process of discipleship is not God changing you into something else, but it is Him revealing who you’ve been all along.” The vlogger critiques Furticks unbiblical statement with brief excerpts of Paul Washer teaching pastors and Steven Lawson preaching to a congregation.
