False Christian teachings, trends….
This post has videos that used Voddie Baucham and Paul Washer to critique preachers such as Billy Graham, Steven Furtick and Rick Warren. Mostly the critiques involved the use of ‘the sinner’s prayer.’ There is a list of points discussed prior to each video so that readers do not have to waste time listening to a video that has nothing that interests them.
The 3 minute video in this post is an excerpt of John MacArthur speaking about Brian McLaren and the Emergent Church movement. MacArthur mocked McLaren’s claim to possess ‘secret knowledge’ about Jesus, saying that Jesus ‘revealed’ his gospel to all. Other statements by MacArthur indicate that McLaren puts Christianity on the same level as other religions; and that McLaren believed he was promoting a man-made solution to the impact of sin upon the earth. There is only one solution for sin and its effects, the gospel of Jesus Christ.
This post showcases the unbiblical, man-centered popular messages of 5 socially acceptable evangelical preachers. They are ‘woke’ and have a popular message that many are afraid NOT to follow, but if you are in a church that has a preacher like these, you ought to leave it immediately because you are on the broad way to destruction. Guard your heart and mind form such pied pipers.
Tucker Carlson interviewed the leader of the Satanic Temple, Lucien Greaves, about the Satanic after-school club newly started in Illinois. Greaves noted that via involvement in that club, students could learn benevolence, empathy and personal sovereignty. He also noted that the club was within the limits of the law and the constitution while also permitted via free speech and religious liberties. Tucker Carlson raised valid concerns with which many parents will likely agree.
Tracy Wren was a successful life coach, teaching Law of Attraction and other new age methods to her clients. Tracy was a workaholic and ambitious life coach, who spent more time coaching rather than focusing upon her family. In this dramatic interview, Tracy describes why she quit her successful life coach practice to follow Jesus. Tracy now warns other Christians about the new age pitfalls of life coaching. The 6 minute video in this post shows pastor Steven Furtick, of Elevation church, saying to his congregation, “The process of discipleship is not God changing you into something else, but it is Him revealing who you’ve been all along.” The vlogger critiques Furticks unbiblical statement with brief excerpts of Paul Washer teaching pastors and Steven Lawson preaching to a congregation. After the video, there is an explanation of the source of Furticks ideology.
The 6 minute video in this post is from Andreas Wiget’s YouTube site; he used the following words to describe it: Is “slain in the spirit” biblical? A quote by Costi Hinn (nephew of Benny Hinn) created heat on my Facebook page. This is a response to some of the arguments. [Andreas cited and explained several scriptural passages to undermine the modern idea of being slain in the Spirit.]
The 5 minute video in this post is about Hillsong leader, Brian Houston; it discusses two additional errors of his: 1) he frequently makes inaccurate applications for biblical texts; and 2), he frequently views Bible texts via a prosperity gospel mindset, creating error. [His errors likely go over the heads of his followers because they are not reading and studying their Bibles]

He mentions several well known seeker sensitive mega church pastors, but his chief purpose is to explain the fundamentals of the movement so you might recognize them when you encounter them in your neighborhood. Additionally, there are links to related articles on preachers that were discussed.

In this video, I repeat some of the analysis on Hillsong Worship which has previously been provided by Justin Peters, Cameron Buettel and Jeremiah Johnson.
