The response to the Twitter takeover by the arbiters of acceptable expression has been as hysterical as it has been swift. The New York Times, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), Media Matters for America, members of the establishment professoriate, and other “experts” have rushed to fortify the defensive forces against free speech…. Musk’s commitment to free speech has raised the hackles of the establishment gatekeepers, who ironically figure free speech as a “threat to democracy.” Alluding to Twitter’s state functions, California State East Bay professor of communication and history Nolan Higdon said that Musk’s acquisition makes “democracy less and less likely to work as it’s designed.” Democracy here does not mean equal representation in the public sphere but rather the preordained domination of a particular “democratic” ideology. This ideology is defined by the imperatives of “diversity, equity, and inclusion,” which are expressed in terms of acceptable and protected identities and politics.
SEYMOUR, Ind.—On May 3 voters in a Republican stronghold in southern Indiana said they are more or less fine with local affairs, but when it comes to national matters they are deeply worried. The top two concerns they have are inflation and border security, according to The Epoch Times’ interviews with a dozen voters in the city of Seymour. Seymour sits in Indiana’s 9th Congressional District, which is an open seat that nine Republican candidates are vying for this year. Whoever wins the primary is almost guaranteed to carry the fall general election. Here, most Republican candidates ran on a similar platform, that of border security, energy independence, pro-life, pro-second amendment, and pro-business.

According to a watch company CEO who has created videos supporting police, rejecting the idea of toxic masculinity, and proclaiming “womanhood is a birthright,” Google is actively censoring his ads by labeling them as “election advertising.” Ilan Muallem Srulovicz is the CEO and Founder of Égard Watch Company, a Florida-based high-end timepiece and jewelry firm. Srulovicz is also an actor, appearing in films like “The Walking Dead,” “Loki,” “Deepwater Horizon,” and “The Big Short.” He has also gained notoriety for using his resources to support causes that are not considered to be politically correct.

This post is meant to be contrasted with the one that preceded it; therein, videos were used to picture the stance against crime in CA and NY. Florida is run by a strong republican governor, whereas CA and NY are run by democrats. The safety of citizens used to be the most fundamental concern of state lawmakers and enforcers; that is no longer the case, unless you make it the case when you vote.

Video 1: two minutes long, shows clips of crimes against business owners and in interview with one who has armed himself; video 2; one minute, gives the outcome of 14 criminals who were arrested for smash and grab crimes; video 3, three minutes, shows what New York lawmakers are doing to tweak their terrible and hated (by citizens) bail reform policy (no doubt a mad scramble that they might be re-elected).
A Pennsylvania judge on Tuesday ordered five elected school directors be immediately kicked off the nine-member West Chester Area School board. …It is all in response to a February petition filed by West Chester Area School District parent Beth Ann Rosica. In the petition, Rosica calls for the removal of five school board members, Sue Tiernan, Joyce Chester, Karen Herman, Kate Shaw, and Daryl Durnell. Students returning to in-person classes after two years of remote learning in response to the COVID-19 pandemic were required to wear masks over their mouth and nose. When Pennsylvania ended mandatory school masking, the West Chester Area School District was among a handful of schools that kept masking in place.
