The Southern Baptist Convention & The Subordination of Scripture – James Lindsay, Ep. 80

In April of 2019, the famously conservative Southern Baptist Convention adopted an infamous resolution, Resolution 9, bringing into the Convention both Critical Race Theory and Intersectionality “as an analytical tool subordinate to Scripture.” This is, at best, a fundamental misunderstanding of Woke Marxism (thus CRT/I), which are explicitly designed to identify anything they are put in subordination to, subvert that thing, and then occupy a position of dominance over it (which they deny they are doing). In this must-listen episode of my subscribers-only podcast, James Lindsay OnlySubs, I go into this facet of Theory and raise important questions about why anyone would think this was a good idea. Join me to hear all about the threat from within to a conservative religious icon. -James Lindsay

‘The Ten Commandments’: At the Top of His Game: Cecil B. DeMille’s Triumph – Epoch Times

If you have enjoyed this film, then you may appreciate the background story; if you’ve never seen it, then this article is a nice introduction. Cecil B. DeMille (1881–1959) began in the theater, acting and writing. He shot his first movie in a rented barn: “The Squaw Man” (1914). Fame and success came quickly. In 1922, he invited fans to write in with suggestions for his next picture. The surprise winner was 1923’s “The Ten Commandments.” …In 1952, at an age when most directors have retired, DeMille was coming off two big hits. How could he top them? The Message, By Eugene Peterson, Is Not A Real Bible Translation

From Doreen Virtue’s YouTube site: The Message is not a true Bible translation, nor even a paraphrase. When you compare The Message to formal and dynamic Bible translations, Eugene Peterson’s book falls short. And no wonder, as The Message was hurriedly created by one man instead of the theological committees which faithfully translate biblical manuscripts from the original Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic languages. Dave Jenkins of Servants of Grace ministry, shows that The Message often teaches differently than God’s Word, and so should be marked and avoided.

John MacArthur | Vengeance is Coming

Dr. MacArthur opened by noting that our culture is enamored with futuristic fantasy; but that God’s conception of the future is reality, and that reality is stated on the pages of scripture: he cited passages from Psalm 2; Isaiah 2 and 13; and Revelation 19. Responding to the Great Reset with Great Resistance – Dr. Peter Hammond

The video in this post is the most thorough explanation of the ‘great reset’ that I have heard, and I have been searching for understanding on this matter. It tells who wrote the book by that title and heads the World Economic Forum; the WEF strategies for establishing control of the masses of this earth, as though the earth were a large welfare state; their goals and values, and more. Dr. Hammond’s explanation of the Great Reset will enable readers to see that Christianity is a hindrance to them which must be removed; furthermore, that we cannot compromise the gospel message or our own values, we must stand for the faith.
