If you saved your money and bought a house in the suburbs, your investment and lifestyle are under attack. President Joe Biden is pushing to end single-family zoning. The biggest item in Biden’s infrastructure bill, now being negotiated with Congress, is $213 billion he claims will to increase affordable housing. Biden wants to put the federal government in charge of zoning and distribute apartment buildings throughout single-family home neighborhoods.
In 1933, Winston Churchill read a copy of Adolf Hitler’s “Mein Kampf” and concluded what few politicians of the time dared: Negotiation and appeasement only work with rational and moral people. Hitler was clearly irrational in his proposed execution of horrifying atrocities. Furthermore, he was clearly not moral. Hitler was so impassioned and dedicated to his ideology that nothing less than war would stop him. So, as Churchill put it, appeasement of Hitler by the United Kingdom “feeds a crocodile—hoping it will eat [the UK] last.”

Leftism is a moral sickness in the human condition. As I have previously written, it is not even an issue of the Left having a broken moral compass. A broken moral compass is occasionally accurate. The Left’s moral compass always shows north as south and east as west.

Many public servants in Hong Kong may be forced to quit their jobs because they refused to pledge an oath of loyalty to the Chinese regime. All Hong Kong civil servants were required to take an oath or sign a declaration to uphold the Basic Law and pledge allegiance to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) by the end of February. On March 8, Patrick Nip Tak-kuen, the secretary for the Civil Service, stated in a press conference that nearly 200 civil servants are about to leave their jobs as they have refused to sign the declaration and pledge of allegiance.
After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) forcibly implemented the Hong Kong National Security Law, the education sector in the financial hub has also become a target of “rectification.” Hong Kong teachers have been disqualified or dismissed in a series of incidents because of their remarks on their city’s political situation.
