Arizona and Montana Take Legal Action Against Biden Admin ICE Arrest Regulations: Epoch Times

“If asked about the poorest policy choice I’ve ever seen in government, this would be a strong contender,” Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich said in a statement. “Blindly releasing thousands of people, including convicted criminals and those who may be spreading COVID-19 into our state, is both unconscionable and a violation of federal law. This must be stopped now to avoid a dangerous humanitarian crisis for the immigrants and the people of Arizona.” …Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen joined Brnovich in the lawsuit. Both filed for a preliminary injunction aiming to block the regulations from going into effect. “Meth trafficked into Montana by Mexican drug cartels has wracked our state. The problem will only be made worse if the Biden administration continues to allow criminals to stay in the country,” Knudsen stated. “Enforcing our immigration laws and helping to keep Americans safe is one of the federal government’s most important functions. The Biden administration is failing its basic responsibility to Americans.”

Concealed Carry Holder, 69, Defends Himself Against 3 Alleged Robbers in Chicago, Shoots One: Epoch Times

A 69-year-old concealed carry permit holder was able to defend himself from three alleged armed robbers in Chicago, officials said. One of the robbers was shot by the victim. Police in Chicago said that three suspects approached the victim on Tuesday and told him to hand over his belongings. The man then pulled out his gun, which he has a permit to carry in a concealed manner, and fired a shot at one of the suspects. …According to a report from the conservative Heritage Foundation, citing data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), “Almost all national studies of defensive gun uses have found that firearms are used in self-defense between 500,000 and 3 million times every year in the United States.”

COVID Hypocrisy at the White House, Betsy McCaughey: Epoch Times

Biden administration health official Rochelle Walensky announced Monday that vaccinated Americans can visit with others who are vaccinated in small groups at home. But when Walensky was asked about visiting grandchildren, she said no, unless the kids are local. Even vaccinated people must avoid traveling. “Every time there’s a surge in travel, we have a surge in cases in this country.” The Biden administration is making one exception. It’s OK to wade across the Rio Grande River and enter the United States illegally. Even if you have COVID-19, you can get on a bus in a Texas border town and travel to any part of the United States, including New York, Baltimore, Miami, and Los Angeles. Never mind how far and wide COVID-infected migrants spread the virus as they fan out.

Twitter locked me [Newt Gingrich] out over a tweet that criticized the Biden administration’s approach to the Southern Border—and raised concern over immigrants crossing the border illegally who may be infected with COVID-19. I was reacting to a recent story that federal officials have no way of testing people who are picked up by U.S. Customs and Border Patrol—or forcing them to quarantine.

Epoch Reader Poll: Majority Want Biden Administration to Complete Border Wall: Epoch Times

A new survey of 24,700 readers of The Epoch Times shows completing the U.S.–Mexico border wall is overwhelmingly seen as a top priority, while Biden administration initiatives, such as ending the “Remain in Mexico” program for asylum-seekers and the pausing of deportations by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, are rated poorly. Readers were surveyed on what they wanted the administration to do on border security, with more than 95 percent saying they wanted to see the wall—President Donald Trump’s signature campaign promise—finished. Eighty percent also indicated they wanted to see existing border laws enforced.
