But these businesses spread because they appealed to free-will consumer demand abroad. They were not imposed top down. …Yet, in our skedaddle [from Afghanistan], the LGBTQ flag still flew high from our new Kabul embassy. A George Floyd mural was prominent on city streets. And gender studies programs—to the tune of $787 million in American subsidies—were showcased at Kabul University, in one of the most conservative Islamic countries in the world. Rainbow flags and Black Lives Matter banners have hung from our embassy in South Korea. Such partisan cultural activism is a diplomatic first. The woke Left has now weaponized the country’s diplomatic missions abroad to advance highly partisan and controversial agendas that can offend their hosts, and do not represent the majority of American voters at home….

It’s likely true: No executives at Anheuser-Busch knew what the Bud Light marketing people were planning when they decided to deploy an absurdist and deeply offensive transgender TikTok influencer to sell their beer. But soon after it happened, public disgust became rather obvious. The crisis began, but for weeks, the company was in denial. Finally, the CEO made a statement that only infuriated people more, simply because it wasn’t an apology or even an honest admission of anything that was happening. It had that sterilized and robotic quality we’ve come to associate with government statements that pretend that all is well when everyone knows it isn’t.

…Which brings me to the missing “manifesto.” In the immediate aftermath of the murders, the police informed us that the obviously emotionally disturbed shooter was transgendered, something that was confirmed by the video of the killings at the Christian school, which shows the female-by-birth Audrey Hale dressed entirely like a macho terrorist. Further, they told us that she had left behind documents and a manifesto, explaining her actions. Then, as if by magic, we heard no more of the word transgendered in any of its forms, from the media or anywhere, nor, almost simultaneously, anything of the manifesto, except that it had been handed to the FBI for review. …As for the FBI, there’s no word so far on when they’ll release the manifesto, in original or redacted form. Sound familiar?

The numbers are grim: “In 2021, 57% of high-school girls reported experiencing persistent feelings of sadness or hopelessness in the past year, compared with 36% in 2011. Thirty percent reported they seriously considered attempting suicide in 2021, up from 19% in 2011.” …There’s a strong indicator in the Wall Street Journal report: It turns out that depression is assailing liberal and progressive kids disproportionately. The progressive worldview is downright depressing, and those who are pushing those doom-and-gloom views—particularly educators and politicians—are to blame for getting so many impressionable young people hooked on sadness and pessimism.

Detransitioned Teen Girl Sues Kaiser Permanente Over Gender Transition Gone Wrong – Epoch Times

A detransitioned teen is suing Kaiser Permanente hospital because doctors removed her breasts during her transgender procedure. Layla Jane is an 18-year-old woman who began to identify as transgender at age 11. Jane, at the time, wanted to transition to a male. Initially, doctors at Kaiser denied her any transition hormones, saying she could take them after turning 16. However, doctors changed their minds, approved her request, and performed a double mastectomy when she was 13.
