UVALDE, Texas—The school in which 19 children and two teachers were massacred on May 24, had been in lockdown four times in the month prior to the shooting, said Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin. Schools in the whole district had been in lockdown mode 47 times since February due to the border crisis spilling into the city, which is a smuggling corridor from the U.S.–Mexico border to San Antonio, a recent Texas House of Representatives report stated.
The United Nations’ 2030 Agenda for sustainable development informs government policies to restrict farming and transform the food systems in different parts of the world, said Alex Newman, an award-winning international journalist who has covered this issue for over a decade. American consumers are feeling the pain and are increasingly spending more of their income on many basic groceries, as prices “are exceeding these inflationary measures“ said the report. “The effects of high and sustained inflation are much more pernicious than unemployment in the sense that high prices affect more people,” noted Mark Hamrick, Bankrate’s Senior Economic Analyst. “The cost of basics is increasingly out of reach for many.” Inflation is costing the average American $460 more per month, according to Ryan Sweet, Senior Director of Economic Research at Moody’s Analytics.
A British man who intends to sue the National Health Service (NHS) for greenlighting sex-change surgery while battling mental illness has gone public to reveal his painful plight in a bombshell interview. Ritchie Herron, a biological male from Newcastle, told the Daily Mail in an exclusive interview that the 2018 surgery left him badly damaged and that he knew immediately after the operation he had made a mistake. His situation first became public last week when he tweeted about it under a pseudonym.
