What Were Martin Luther’s 95 Theses?
This post contains an article on Martin Luther’s 95 theses and those theses, from GotQuestions.org. Reformation day is October 31, if you are protestant, you may know more about what started the protestant movement by spending a few moments reading this post; if you are Roman Catholic, you can discover that the same unbiblical practices that kicked off the Protestant Reformation are still practiced by the RCC. Please read through the Bible and discover that Luther’s points are in line with scripture and the practices of the Roman church are not
The Sins You Won’t Give Up – Pastor Tim Conway
There are two brief videos in this post, each are sermon excerpts of pastor Tim Conway sermons. The first provides a useful picture of the problem of repentance and the second a graphic depiction of hell. Each will slap you startle you with a dose of biblical reality. We all tend to backslide on occasion, even the great warrior king and poet, David backslid. I believe many Christians are grateful for his failure, as it demonstrated to all who read the Bible that God is merciful and forgiving; and sinners may start walking with God again, even after great failures. The videos provide warnings and encouragement for such as are in need of these.
What Happens After We Die? Doreen Virtue with Pastor Dustin Benge
Doreen Virtue asked Dr. Benge numerous questions about the afterlife, and he answered those from the scriptures. Perhaps your questions will be answered via this 6-minute video?
John MacArthur | Vengeance is Coming
Dr. MacArthur opened by noting that our culture is enamored with futuristic fantasy; but that God’s conception of the future is reality, and that reality is stated on the pages of scripture: he cited passages from Psalm 2; Isaiah 2 and 13; and Revelation 19. [The video excerpt is 12 minutes long; sermon highlights are provided with scripture.]
The Doctrine of Hell: What 7 Popular Christian Pastors Teach About Hell
The following words are from the vlogger who made the video in this post: “Significant video editing was used to create a unique storyline that teaches about pastors who do and don’t teach about hell. With appearances by Joel Osteen, Rob Bell, Brian McLaren, Carlton Pearson, Paul Washer, John MacArthur, and Voddie Baucham.” [The chief distinction between these two groups of pastors is that one group preaches biblical doctrine because they possess faith; the other preaches their opinions about Bible doctrine based on reason, sometimes. Which group is your pastor most like?]
The Wrath of God and The Hatred of Sin
Charles Leiter preached the message in this post, he was introduced by pastor Paul Washer. I think they met in Peru where Washer still heads Heart Cry missionary organization. Leiter briefly defined and explained God’s wrath. His illustrations were very biblical, relevant and memorable. The 21st century church takes a very unbiblical position regarding sin. This short message will reorient those who wish to be on the right path, that described in the Bible.
The Battle with the Devil, R.C. Sproul
In the video of this post, R C Sproul explains the origins of contemporary Christianity’s unbelief in a personal devil, even though Christ spoke of this creature frequently and solemnly. He also sheds light on the term anti-Christ, its lesser known meaning. Christians ought to believe the Bible and Christ’s words about the nature of the Evil One
Judgment, William S. Plumer
The following 6 minute video is supposed to be a devotional on judgment day, but I would call it a meditation. Plumer makes many statements about judgment day, as though he is walking around it and viewing it from every possible perspective; from his words, emerges a very clear picture. If you listen, then you will definitely learn some new things about judgment day; and learning new things about that day could be a very beneficial for your soul.
