[The Basis Of The Christmas Celebration ] God’s Purposes For Jesus’ Incarnation

I know many people who celebrate Christmas and love the season…but don’t go to church, read the Bible, believe in Christ; I also know people who adhere to the teachings of other world religions and celebrate Christmas. That is easy in this culture, because Christ has been removed from this celebration which used to bear His name but is called “The holidays” presently. So, this post has two purposes, to enable readers to understand the very reasons of Christ’s incarnation; and to help readers value Christ and being part of His kingdom rather than continuing on in their culturally conditioned oblivion and soul-killing lives.

What Christ Calls His Followers To Do – John Piper

What does it mean to “believe” in Christ, to pick up your cross and follow Him? Pastor Piper explains these words biblically. His sermon is extremely valuable because Christian culture gets these things very wrong. This post contains a 12 minute excerpt of his 64 minute sermon; it also contains the entire sermon for those who want to know the foundation he laid before he got to the crux of the text that is stated in excerpt; and the application he proposed after the excerpt. Hopefully, the excerpt will whet your appetite to hear the entire sermon, it is valuable in this time of false gospel messages and short cuts to the Christian life

The Consciousness of Sin in the works of J. Gresham Machen

J. Gresham Machen (1881–1937), a leading Reformed theologian, argued in many of his works that the “consciousness of sin” was foundational to Christianity. This video explores why Machen considered it so important. Works quoted: Christianity and Liberalism (1923) What Is Faith? (1925) The Christian View of Man (1937) [A 13 minute video preceded by bulleted highlight points]

Dr. Voddie Baucham, on CRT, Intersectionality and the Gospel

Dr. Baucham explained the shady process by which the SBC got CRT and Intersectionality approved at their convention; he explained cultural Marxism and its parts, including CRT and intersectionality; he explained the Dallas Statement, written by a panel of prominent Christian pastors to warn of cultural Marxism…the main point: cultural Marxism is opposed Christianity, the Christian worldview, and the gospel; it is unbiblical and it is wrong to try to incorporate it into Christianity [the SBC’s actions are leading sheep astray]

The Gospel of Jesus Christ, Preached by Furtick, Sproul, Baucham, MacArthur and Lawson

The video is a compilation of preachers talking about the ‘gospel’ of God. If you have been a little fuzzy on what the term ‘gospel’ means, then you should have a clearer definition of it by the time you finish reading the sermon highlights and listening to the 23 minute video. …The video opens with Steven Furtick preaching his gospel; following him, R. C. Sproul concisely defines the gospel; then Voddie Baucham gives a lengthier and fuller definition; Dr. MacArthur follows Baucham with a brief definition and the video closes with Dr. S. Lawson saying a few things about the gospel. [Sermon highlights are given for those who do not have 23 minutes to listen to the great video]

WHOEVER BELIEVES… John MacArthur (John 3:16)

Dr. MacArthur explained that the unforgivable sin is unbelief. We are all born in unbelief, if we remain in it, we will experience eternal death, hell. As he expounds John chapter 3, he also explains conversion, the work of God within converts…. If you do not understand John 3, about conversion being a work of God; if you think that you can sign a card and become born again, then please study this sermon, because those modern conversion techniques are UNbiblical

The Gospel of Redemption – Voddie Baucham

In the following 5 minute sermon excerpt, Dr. Voddie Baucham explains the gospel of redemption; his purpose in doing so is to clarify the difference between a man-centered gospel and a God-centered gospel.  This culture has long believed that the gospel is about them and has wrongly presented the gospel in that way to those who do not know Christ.

Why Christmas is so important, especially in a year like 2020: From RenewAmerica

This is a time of many fears. There are national fears of government corruption, foreign enemies hacking sensitive government information, the pandemic, rioting and looting in our streets, and the list goes on. Plus, there are personal fears, unemployment, a failed business, domestic violence, our children’s safety and future, and even death. To us, the message of the angel comes down from heaven through the centuries, saying, “Fear not.”
