False Christian teachings, trends….
In my correspondence yesterday, the topic of original sin came up. I thought I would post on this topic because there are so many unbiblical preachers in the 21st century church that many newer Christians may not know about this doctrine. Students of the Bible come to understand it, especially if they attend a church whose standards are the Westminster Confession of Faith or the Baptist Confession of 1689….

The Bible has made it clear that the life of the Christian will not be one of ease, but a continuous battle against the evil one. In order to live in victory, one must put on the breastplate of righteousness. The question, then, is how does one do this? …He begins by stating that putting on the breastplate of righteousness can be equated to putting on Jesus and walking in the Spirit. …Walking in the Spirit shows that the Christian is a new creation in Christ and has made Him the master rather than themselves….
Dr. Lloyd-Jones contrasts the hopeless state of mankind apart from God, dead in sin and under the influence of Satan, with the miraculous intervention of God’s grace. He emphasizes that the gospel is inherently supernatural and divine, beyond human comprehension or ability. Using examples like Mary and Nicodemus, he shows how even devout people can stumble over the miraculous nature of God’s work.
This post contains a 10-minute video on autosuggestion, its message is something like the word-faith gospel. I typed out a transcript of the video and critiqued it a paragraph or few at a time. The critiques are biblical. I do not think the video is within the Christian biblical worldview and do not recommend just hearing that and leaving, without reading the critique.
In the sermon of this post, MLJ went more deeply into concepts about God’s truth. He briefly discussed death and war in the process of emphasizing our need to surrender fully to scripture and the Holy Spirit. His points were very relevant in terms of current events of our day surrounding the EU’s support of Ukraine after Trump refused to embolden Zelensky, who was not ready for peace…. Also, I added a point from MLJ’s words that was not covered by MLJTrust, but that is very relevant to the false NAR movement of our day.
This post contains sermon #48 in MLJ’s series, The Armor of God. He is traveling very slowly through this passage, teaching its doctrines very carefully. If you desire to learn what the Armor of God is, as it was identified by the apostle Paul, and how to put it on, then I certainly recommend hearing the series. In my 20 years as a Christian, I have blogged a lot of pastors, true and counterfeit pastors, and notice that modern Christians seek a lot of different things in their worship experience….
In this sermon, MLJ carefully explained that the Bible is revealed by God and is the foundation of the Christian life. He has been using scripture to explain what it means to put on the belt of truth; the bulk of his explanation has thus far been about defining the quality of the ‘truth’ the apostle Paul referenced.
The video in this post opens by announcing that Paula White is the head of Trumps new Faith Office at the White House. He then began to focus of the Pagan icons on the album covers of two popular churches, these apparently typify NAR an like-minded false ministries: Join us as we explore the propaganda behind the cult NAR movement and their increasing influence in the political and religious sphere. We look at two album covers of Hillsong and Elevation worship and the iconography says a lot about the false doctrines being espoused and Roman ecumenical roots of the deception.
