Dr. MacArthur explained that the unforgivable sin is unbelief. We are all born in unbelief, if we remain in it, we will experience eternal death, hell. As he expounds John chapter 3, he also explains conversion, the work of God within converts…. If you do not understand John 3, about conversion being a work of God; if you think that you can sign a card and become born again, then please study this sermon, because those modern conversion techniques are UNbiblical
This post reviews the ideas of tearing down strongholds, via spiritual weapons from 2 Corinthians 10: 3-5. Highlights from commentator Albert Barnes were copied and pasted to clarify the important parts of this passage. I was reviewing the text for my own benefit and thought I’d do a post on it because, although it is an extremely important text, the Bible is big and there are many things that deserve contemplation; and it is easy to forget to apply such concepts in one’s daily warfare unless they become very familiar out of application – so this is an opportunity to refresh your memory of this passage
“In the book of Genesis, the book of beginnings, we see the first game of hide and seek. Adam and Eve hid from God in the Garden because they realized they were naked, and because of that knowledge they were ashamed. In this case, their nakedness was more than skin-deep. However, God has since remedied the problem. Dr. Sproul thinks of this account as he discusses the institution of marriage as a safe-haven where shame need not exist.”
In the following 8- minute sermon excerpt, Dr. John MacArthur described a new Bible translation, the Legacy Standard Bible. It is based on the NASB; the most significant changes are that “YAHWEH” is substituted for “LORD,” and “slave” is substituted for “servant.” A link is given so that readers may read from the New Testament, Psalms and Proverbs in the LSB; the full Bible will be available for purchase in the fall of 2021.
C.H. Spurgeon spends 6 minutes talking about biblical facts on election; if you listen, then you will have some important points to ponder. The true interpretation of the cross: Jesus is the Son of God, incarnate; the Messiah, the Christ, the Savior of the world, who willingly went to the cross; He came to be despised and rejected in order to deliver us from sin… So we would not be despised and rejected by God on judgment day, for our sin… He came to redeem us from the curse, by being a curse for us
The 23 minute lesson by R C Sproul in this post instructs on the connectedness among the following ceremonies and doctrines: the Passover; the Lord’s Supper; Salvation from the wrath of God by Christ’s atoning work; Calvary; and the resurrection. Listeners will better understand the relatedness of all these ceremonies and events. Those who never understood how it was that Christ is the only way of salvation from God the Father’s wrath against sin, will be given a clear picture of that reality.

He also explained what the commandment does NOT require, clarification which many will appreciate
Herein, pastor Patrick Ramsey discussed the 7th commandment in terms of one’s relationships to God, spouse and family; the specifics of his sermon leave one with much to consider if he would be more in line with God’s command, knowing the blessings that God intended for mankind to experience in a covenantal relationship. If you only think, “Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery,” when you think about the 7th command, then you will greatly expand your understanding of that command by hearing his sermon
