The following video is from the YouTube site, Fight For Truth. I’m posting the video because his assessment is biblical and Christians need to hear some straight talk on the matter.

C H Spurgeon’s Morning and Evening Thoughts for April 14
Again, when I went to my E-sword pc Bible program, the following devotional opened before me and I read it to my blessing. Both messages are great; but the second one speaks specific encouragement for times such as this: I posted earlier today, a video about the globalist agenda, how the one-world order is crystallizing before our eyes. The second message below is comforting in light of these developments; it is also comforting for all conditions a believer might experience: cancer, Covid19….
Psalm 9 and the Antithesis – Pastor Patrick Hines Podcast
My last three posts are about events that are presently unfolding in our society; the two posts on Curtis Bowers’ Agenda Weekly, touched on the topic of the Nashville shooting by identifying underlying factors. This post explains the “antitheses” more specifically, using Psalm 9. An overview and some discussion points are precede his podcast.
C H Spurgeon’s Morning and Evening Thoughts for April 6
Spurgeon’s devotional, Morning and Evening, is very relevant to my last 3 posts and to the one I am working on for tomorrow, so I am posting it now. His perspective is biblical, but different from the others; therein you might also see the timeless relevance of God’s truth, as Spurgeon died over a century ago: his words are a call to Christians right now, today. I certainly needed to hear them, I hope you benefit from reading them also.
John MacArthur – When A Nation is Abandoned by God – The Reprobate Mind
In the following video, Pastor John MacArthur reads from Romans 1 and explains the text which describes the stages of judgment that have been unfolding in America the past 50 plus years. MacArthur’s sermon provides a biblical explanation for what is happening in America right now. The judgment of abandonment was initially perceivable when the sexual revolution began in the 1970s; it became more apparent with the movements that followed; it is culminating with the trans movement which could not occur without the stage of the reprobate mind. He closes by saying that no group of senators, congressmen… can fix this because it is judgment from God.
Just Like Abraham – Pastor Patrick Ramsey
The sermon in this post by Pastor Ramsey, examines Paul’s arguments for justification by faith in Galatians 3: 6-9. Understanding this material is foundational to your Christian walk, particularly because the doctrines in this text are largely misunderstood by the contemporary church. To put it differently, if you do not understand the contents of this portion of scripture, then you will not be able to identify when you are committing the spiritually fatal error of seeking to be made right with God by works, instead of by faith. Pastor Ramsey clearly presents Paul’s arguments; thereby arming readers to more easily see their own errors; to throw off such idolatry, via depending upon the Lord in prayer….
Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction – Commentaries
This post contains one verse of scripture, Proverbs 1:7 and the comments of 6 Bible commentators: John MacArthur; John Gill; F B Meyer; Albert Barnes; Joseph Benson and Matthew Henry. This is a foundational verse in the Bible, so it is worth the effort required to know what it means.
John Newton – The Most Generally Prevailing and Ensnaring Sin
In the 6-minute video of this post, John Newton asks the question, “What is covetousness?” He then provides an answer, beginning with the statement, “a sin from which few people are entirely free.” Newton based his brief exposition on Ephesians 5:5 For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. John Newton – I am Sure I Cannot Endure to the End! (Christian devotional)
There are two 4-minute devotionals in this post by Rev. John Newton; each, talks about a different aspect of the believer’s helplessness apart from the upholding loving care of the Lord Jesus Christ. I am posting them because in my own life I have seen that it is very difficult to walk with the Lord by faith instead of my own fleshly strength; I believe that many other Christians also struggle with this condition. I am sure that the Holy Spirit has revealed this to me in all of my failings. Have you seen this problem in your own walk? If not, then these devotionals may provide a few necessary clues….
