The metaverse is an immersive virtual world where people will be working, playing, and existing. The theory is they put on a headset and slip away into virtual “reality” where they will spend all of their time. Mark Zuckerberg is so invested in making this vision come to life that he has renamed Facebook’s parent company to “Meta” and has dramatically shifted the entire mission of his company. Disney’s CEO called it “the future” this week and is foaming at the mouth at the thought of having your kids plugged into a Disney “reality” every hour of the day.

Planned Parenthood and some 40 other groups released dozens of recommendations for policymakers to consider adopting, including increasing funding for pro-abortion organizations, which help women getting the procedure with gas money, child care, and other potential obstacles; repaying loans for healthcare workers who provide abortion; and opening up virtual counseling for women in other states who want to take abortion pills.

The motive of the suspect is unknown; if the media have their way, it will remain that way. The media apparently only care about why suspects commit violent acts when motives can be credited to their political enemies. There is one thing we do know: the suspect should not have been on the street. He had a rap sheet longer than the first five books of the Bible. …we already know just why the bail process allowed the suspect back out onto the street: equity demanded it.
