Recently there were some remarkable online videos of a Portland, Oregon good Samaritan confronting shoplifters and forcing them to dump loads of their pilfered goods. More stunning, however, was the sheer outrage—of the thieves! They pouted. They screamed. They resisted. How dare anyone stop them from stealing anything they wished. The criminals entertained no fear of any consequences for walking out with bags of things that were not theirs. They had no care that mainstreaming their habits would undermine the entire fabric of society.

Our lot includes suffering and undergoing various trials that we might be conformed to the image of Christ. No true believer will be excluded. While I was undergoing cancer treatment, my brother gave me a book, The Afflicted Man’s Companion, wherein I learned things that helped comfort me. One point that seemed hard, was that God expects us to feel the pain when we are undergoing afflictions, trials…. It is natural to want to escape it, hence, dependence on Him is necessary. Knowing the aforementioned enabled me to see many such things during my next read of the Bible

The Christian music in this post is based on Revlation 3:10-13; and Isaiah 41:10. Much Christian music these days is based on the opinions of the artists and not on real Bible verses. God the Holy Spirit saves people via scripture, not opinions of man. Also, if you use Christian music to stir up your heart for Bible study or personal worship, then hearing scripture as you listen has to be more spiritually beneficial. Additionally, if you grew up listening to rock music from the baby boomer generation, then you will like the music in this video.
