The Price of Eliminating Consequences – Victor David Hanson, Epoch Times Commentary

Recently there were some remarkable online videos of a Portland, Oregon good Samaritan confronting shoplifters and forcing them to dump loads of their pilfered goods. More stunning, however, was the sheer outrage—of the thieves! They pouted. They screamed. They resisted. How dare anyone stop them from stealing anything they wished. The criminals entertained no fear of any consequences for walking out with bags of things that were not theirs. They had no care that mainstreaming their habits would undermine the entire fabric of society.

Big Pharma, Big Food, and the Poisoning of America – Epoch Times

The always-colorful Russell Brand recently interviewed a man by the name of Calley Means, the founder of TrueMed, a company that promotes the importance of healthy eating and exercise. During the fascinating interview, Mr. Means made a rather startling comment: Processed food companies “contribute 11 times more money to nutritional research in the U.S. than the NIH.” This is astonishing. As I show in this piece, the link between junk food and junk science is both incredibly strong and incredibly dangerous….

C H Spurgeon, Morning Thoughts For March 8

This post contains today’s morning thought from C H Spurgeon’s devotional, Morning and Evening. It is about the role of affliction in the believer’s life. Our lot includes suffering and undergoing various trials that we might be conformed to the image of Christ. No true believer will be excluded. While I was undergoing cancer treatment, my brother gave me a book, The Afflicted Man’s Companion, wherein I learned things that helped comfort me. One point that seemed hard, was that God expects us to feel the pain when we are undergoing afflictions, trials…. It is natural to want to escape it, hence, dependence on Him is necessary. Knowing the aforementioned enabled me to see many such things during my next read of the Bible

Jehovah Jesus – Rich Moore Christian Music

The Christian song in this post is based on a William Cowper poem. From the video narrative: “Cowper became close friends with the Evangelical clergyman John Newton; together they co-authored the Olney Hymns, which was first published in 1779 and included Newton’s famous hymn “Amazing Grace.” Of the 68 hymns Cowper wrote, “Oh for a closer walk with God” and “God moves in a mysterious way” are the most well known.”

Behold, I am Coming Quickly! – Rich Moore / Scripture Song / Lyrics

The Christian music in this post is based on Revlation 3:10-13; and Isaiah 41:10. Much Christian music these days is based on the opinions of the artists and not on real Bible verses. God the Holy Spirit saves people via scripture, not opinions of man. Also, if you use Christian music to stir up your heart for Bible study or personal worship, then hearing scripture as you listen has to be more spiritually beneficial. Additionally, if you grew up listening to rock music from the baby boomer generation, then you will like the music in this video.

Covenant Theology Overview by Pastor Patrick Hines [Salvation and Eschatology, Part 8, Conclusion]

The 22-minute video in this post addresses the following: the unity of the covenants of the Bible, Old and New Testaments; why faith is the only way of salvation; why works, obedience to the law, cannot save anyone; and why the doctrines of old-school Dispensationalism, which ascribe to God, two different ways of salvation in the Bible, are erroneous. Sermon highlight points are provided.
