This post takes a short passage from Shoghi Effendi’s introduction to the Baha’i Book of Certitude, a portion wherein he discussed Noah, and uses scripture to show how scripture was twisted to fit Shoghi Effendi’s purpose. That purpose is also stated in the critique.

Baha’i Faith Book of Certitude – Huge Errors Regarding the Citing of Scripture, Part 1
Today I am beginning a series on the Kitab-i-iqan, The Book of Certitude of the Baha’i Faith. This initial post is an introduction with a few relevant remarks regarding introductory text from the Book of Certitude and the Bible. This book was apparently written by the leader of the Baha’i Faith, Baha’u’llah. My focus will be to cite the errors this work contains, regarding the Bible only. In the intro, for example, Shoghi Effendi, grandson of the founder, made numerous errors when he explained the actions of biblical characters in relation to this work. I am calling his statements erroneous because he speaks of biblical characters in ways that differ widely from the Bible. Examples will show these errors clearly.
C H Spurgeon’s Morning and Evening Thoughts for June 27
Today, he emphasized two very common problems: compromise, in his morning thoughts; and calling in his evening thoughts. Since he was such an excellent biblical preacher, his words are very worth considering. As I read his morning thoughts, I thought of how the church is compromising with the CRT and LGBTQ movements; and of how liberalism has been an issue for over a hundred years, Spurgeon himself fought against it in his writings. His evening thoughts deal with callings, the common errors new converts make [an 11-minute MacArthur video on Spurgeon’s ‘downgrade controversy’ is linked]
C H Spurgeon – Morning and Evening Thoughts for June 22nd
His morning thoughts provide some understanding about God’s purposes in affliction. All believers are shaped by it, and receiving it is not always something we want to do; Spurgeon’s words help with that in particular. His evening thoughts encourage us in learning to hold the things of this earth loosely because they are temporary, while we are being taught to see the things of Christ as precious. The Spirit shows the foolish and temporal things we have been trusting in as He helps us make the transition to trusting wholly in Christ. Spurgeon’s words remind us that our trust in earthly things must be let go of and transferred to Christ alone.
Introducing Wisdom | Proverbs (1:1-7) – Pastor Kyle Johnston
This video is the first of 12 in a series: Study on the book of Proverbs, chapters 1-9. The videos range from 9-14 minutes in length, this is the longest video. I found the last video of this series because I wanted to blog on Proverbs 9 and after listening to it, I decided it would be beneficial to me and interested readers to blog the entire series for reasons that will become apparent in this video. Video highlight points precede this lesson. ADDITIONALLY, this post contains a reading from John Calvin’s Institutes of the Christian Religion to explain the necessity of a believer knowing who he/she is in relationship to God
I Asked AI About the Antichrist and It’s Answer Was Terrifying…
I knew little of Ai and found the video informative and relevant for Christian viewing, as this is a rapidly changing world and we are becoming targets of the people running this mad society. Despite that, we need to be sufficiently knowledgeable of important events and think about how to witness Christ in the unfolding of those. This video offers some encouragement for doing that.
Purity of Heart and Life – Charles Spurgeon Audio Devotionals (Matthew 5:8)
The two-minute devotional in this post is about purity of heart, Matthew 5:8. A list of highlights precede the video and a brief comment after it to add a few things Spurgeon did not mention in this very short devotional [I’ve listened to him preach on the beatitudes and know that he did not have time to state a few other foundational points about purity of heart and the process inherent in the beatitudes; as this is a devotional, not an exhaustive study of purity of heart…].
The Inflationary Pillaging of America – Epoch Times Commentary
It’s been three and a half years from the start of the inflationary menace to the current plight of the dollar relative to its purchasing power. And please, as you read this, keep in mind that when we speak of the value of the dollar, there are two ways this is measured. The first is its value against the goods and services it can buy. The second is its value against the other currencies it can buy. These are too often conflated. It is massively important to take this into account because otherwise the headline news can be extremely confusing. When reporters go on about the strong dollar, they are referring to its value against other currencies…. You might have thought you were getting a great gift when the government started dropping thousands of dollars into your bank account. It was a head fake for the ages, a clear example of the government’s using clever tricks to get your support for its own plot against your well-being….
IN-DEPTH: Victims Who Became ‘Asexual’ After Anti-Depressants…UK Authorities Are Ignoring Them – Epoch Times
Thousands of people in the UK could have been made “functionally asexual” by antidepressant medication with symptoms that last far beyond treatment, but campaigners claim their experiences are being ignored by authorities. Thousands of people around the world and the UK could be suffering from what is called Post-SSRI Sexual dysfunction (PSSD), a condition that is brought on by taking antidepressants known as SSRIs (Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors). PSSD manifests itself after taking the drug and lasts in some cases for decades with no cure for the condition. A sure sign of PSSD, which campaigners say gets mistakenly diagnosed for low libido, is genital numbing. Some say they feel their “soul has left their bodies” with a complete removal of any arousal response in the body.
President Trump, Bud Light, Target, and the LA Dodgers – Newt Gingrich – Epoch Times Commentary
Millions of Americans’ negative reactions to the indictment of President Donald Trump are not all related to his personal appeal. They are responses to the cultural civil war being waged by an aggressive, immoral, and potentially dictatorial elite minority. There is a parallel between what is happening to President Trump and the American people’s rejection of woke brainwashing. Do not be confused: The Biden team would force Americans to buy Bud Light, shop at Target, and applaud the LA Dodgers’ celebration of an anti-Christian hate group if (or when) they could.
