False Christian teachings, trends….
This post contains one paragraph from the introduction to the Baha’i Book of Certitude. My purpose is to show readers the basic, but huge errors made by Shoghi Effendi. Biblical text is being used as a standard. Baha’is claim that the Bible is part of the divine revelation of their own faith and they are encouraged to read the Bible.
Today, Spurgeon’s morning and evening thoughts are about God’s purpose for sending affliction into the believer’s life. If you have been feeling discouraged by hardships and your own failures in your Christian walk, then you could easily find encouragement in his words. You might be more inclined to seek Christ out in His word and prayer, than avoiding Him because of a sense of failure (which seems to mostly be about self-reliance, which God is working to eradicate via affliction).

The crew that made the 5-minute video had their car vandalized and personal belongings stolen even though they hired a security team, they ended the video with footage of that crime.]
…As a rule, US war reporting since Vietnam has been mostly mainstream media cheerleading the mission rather than digging beyond government war propaganda. After all, it was images of American boys coming home in body bags shown on the six o’clock news across America that finally galvanized mainstream opposition to that war. …Take for example last week’s shocking report that President Biden has signed an order to mobilize 3,000 US military reservists for deployment to Europe in support of the 2014 “Operation Atlantic Resolve.” What is Atlantic Resolve? It was launched in the aftermath of the US-backed coup in Ukraine and the ensuing unrest under the US-installed puppet government. So, if Russia is losing – or has already lost, as Biden said last week – why has it suddenly become necessary to call up US reserve forces? Well …US military recruiting crises ever, it seems Washington does not have sufficient troops for its anti-Russia mission in Ukraine.

Until, that is, about two weeks ago, when nearly every notable Republican 2024 presidential candidate attended a Philadelphia Moms for Liberty summit to campaign, and people took notice. “What we’ve seen across this country,” said Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on June 30, “in recent years is awakening the most powerful political force in this country, Mama Bears, and they’re ready to roll.”
American consumers started boycotting Target in May, after the retail chain rolled out its Pride collection, which included some items that targeted children, including books, home décor products, and transgender swimsuits for adults with a “tuck-friendly” feature. In the first two weeks of May, when the company’s Pride controversy began to go viral, its market capitalization declined by $1.85 billion. …Total institutional inflows for Target were about $35 million in Q2 compared with $2.14 billion in the first quarter, according to data from MarketBeat. Meanwhile, total outflows for Q2 were $91.4 million, down from $1.07 billion in the previous quarter. …Target’s Pride campaign and its financial support to organizations such as GLSEN that facilitate “secret gender transitions for kids” raises concerns regarding child protection laws of various states and also the economic interest of the company’s shareholders, it stated.
Before the COVID lockdowns, social media companies had started contracting with new third-parties organizations called fact-checkers to assist in “content creation.” Getting a pass meant the post or story was amplified but getting dinged for inaccuracy meant that the post would be throttled or deleted…. As time went on, the attempts to censor became more brazen and obvious. Then the Twitter files and other FOIAs generated proof of what many suspected all along. These entities were funded either directly or indirectly by government or by other dark-money sources as quid pro quos for other relationships they had cultivated with interested parties. In other words, they were not some independent, science-based entities at all but rather hit squads with a hard political agenda. What was actually happening here was a form of censorship laundering. Government wants to censor but cannot so it turns to the social-media company to do the dirty work.
