Ted Cruz (R-Texas) on Sunday responded to criticism over his plan to challenge the electoral college results on Jan. 6 unless an emergency 10-day audit to assess election fraud allegations takes place. Cruz and 10 other senators announced their intention to challenge Electoral College votes from contested states over concerns that the 2020 election “featured unprecedented allegations of voter fraud, violations, and lax enforcement of election law, and other voting irregularities.”…As a compromise, Congress in 1877 established a bipartisan electoral commission made up of five House members, five Senators, and five Supreme Court justices to hear the claims and determine how the unassigned electoral votes should be awarded.

That only 12 senators, with Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) leading the way, have stood up to say they would question the results of our presidential election, when CNN reports that at least 140 House members have said they would, does not speak well for what was once known as “the world’s greatest deliberative body.” …Not only that, but this same cabal of senators must have limned all the testimony about election fraud, from mail-in voting, to trucked-in voting, to ballots suddenly appearing from under a table after everybody went home, to absentee ballots being absconded with and probably shredded, and other possibilities so multitudinous at this point that the sworn affidavits stacked on top of each other would reach somewhere near the top of the Capitol Dome.

The Senate Homeland Security Committee found extensive evidence that Hunter has made hundreds of millions of dollars for the Biden family by selling access to his father, so when Hunter’s laptop turned up with first-person incriminating evidence, it was pretty obvious that Joe Biden had a lot of answer for. Except that the media never made him answer for anything. It preferred to rest on the bizarre assertion from 50 former U.S. intelligence officials that clear evidence of foreign collusion on Hunter’s laptop had all the earmarks of a “Russian disinformation” campaign. This was errant nonsense. Reporters, read the emails!

Work with your children to set up routines, expectations, and strategies for how learning will happen in your home. You do not have to model your days after a traditional public or private school schedule. Invite your children into a dialogue about what school at home looks like for them and decide together how it will look. Make a plan and reevaluate the plan often in case adjustments or changes need to be made. This is how you will create buy-in and enthusiasm for children who aren’t used to schooling at home and honor them for the unique contributions they can make.
