Pompeo, DeSantis Respond to FBI Raid at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Home – Epoch Times

Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and other GOP leaders have responded to an FBI search of the 45th President’s Florida Mar-a-Lago home after former president Donald Trump said it was “currently under siege, raided, and occupied” on Aug. 8…. Pompeo, the former secretary of state under Trump, said that executing a warrant against a former president of the United States was a “dangerous” precedent to set. “The apparent political weaponization of DOJ/FBI is shameful. AG must explain why 250 yrs of practice was upended with this raid,” Pompeo wrote. “I served on Benghazi Com where we proved Hilliary (sic) possessed classified info. We didn’t raid her home.”

Nikki Haley Makes Dire Prediction if GOP Loses 2022 Midterms – Epoch Times

Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley on Sunday claimed the 2022 midterms will make or break Republicans, arguing that if the GOP doesn’t win back Congress, “there won’t be 2024.” “If we don’t win in 2022, there won’t be a 2024,” said Haley, a Republican, during a Fox News appearance on Sunday. “So we need to stay humble, disciplined, and win that.” Haley, the former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, did not elaborate.

California: A Transgender Mecca for Minors

England’s publicly funded healthcare system, The National Health Service, recently made a big announcement: By spring of 2023, the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust will shut down its Gender Identity Development Service (GIDS). For the uninitiated, GIDS offers various services to children struggling with gender identity issues. The NHS announcement was long overdue. In truth, Tavistock is an “absolutely broken institution,” and GIDS appears to have done far more harm than good. As The Daily Mail’s Sue Reid recently noted, the decision to close GIDS is “a vital and long overdue step in righting the wrongs of what could perhaps be the biggest medical scandal this century—the routine use of puberty-blocking drugs on children.” Not just a few children either. Thousands of children.

Trump Clean-Up Denial Sweeps Country – Epoch Times Commentary – Conrad Black

It’s humorous though very predictable to see the muted response to former President Donald Trump’s clean-up in the latest primaries…. The facts are that Trump led the estimable Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in the CPAC poll on the weekend in Dallas by 45 points. Trump’s endorsements were widely sought, and so far, 95 percent of incumbents whom he endorsed have been successful in their quest for renomination, and approximately 67 percent of those who were not incumbents have been successful…. The midterm elections in less than three months should confirm Trump as the presumptive next president. It will be his obligation to appear less frightening to moderate voters than he often has before. But there can be no pillory of him as there was in 2016 of being a racist, sexist, incompetent, a warmonger, and even a madman in the pay of a hostile foreign power. All of the nonsense about Russia, and Charlottesville, and Trump’s supposed extremism, has been debunked.

Preparing for Food Shortages? Bulk Up the Pantry—but Also Your Mind, Community, and Spirit – Epoch Times

People in some countries are already suffering from a lack of staples. Wars, government corruption, and natural disasters have brought in their wake starvation and malnutrition, often leading to unrest among the afflicted. Sri Lankans, for instance, recently toppled their government, in part because its restrictions on chemical fertilizers resulted in massive crop failures. In the Netherlands, farmers are rebelling, peacefully so far, against their government’s “green” restrictions on cows and pasturelands. Here in the United States, there’s debate over whether food shortages are looming in the near future. Some experts laugh at this idea, while others, including farmers, warn that bad weather, the rising costs of food production, particularly with higher prices for diesel fuel and fertilizer, and a broken supply chain will lead to empty shelves in grocery stores by the fall. Certain federal policies seem almost deliberately aimed at creating a crisis rather than managing one. … Given this uncertain future, we might heed that old chestnut: “Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.” And there are several ways we can easily do so….
