The excerpt is the final minutes of part 2 of a 5-part series Trueman was teaching on mortification of sin via the work of John Owen. This excerpt is intended to introduce readers to Dr. Trueman and mortification of sin; and it also emphasized something about the Christian battle against sin that is not generally known in the contemporary church, it is a life-long battle that must be fought.
The purpose of the interview that Family Radio conducted with Dr Carol Swain was to discuss how it is that counter-cultural respect might be achieved via a biblical manner. Dr. Carol Swain provided definitions for those unfamiliar with CRT and its roots; and other definitions relevant to this topic. She shared information from the book she was commissioned to write on this topic: Counter-Cultural Living: What Jesus has to say about life, marriage, race, gender and materialism. She was born-again in her 40s, and had previously been divorced twice; she was a college professor for 28 years. The Department of Agriculture (USDA) under the Biden administration announced on May 5 that all state and local agencies that receive federal funding for meals, more specifically including schools, must not discriminate based on sexual orientation and gender identity. In other words, schools that receive funding through the federal school lunch program could lose the funding if they discriminate against those identifying as a different gender or sexual orientation, such as not allowing biological males who identify as females to use women’s restrooms…. Noem blasted the Biden administration’s threat of withholding funding from vulnerable student populations in a press release on June 2: “President Biden is holding lunch money for poor Americans hostage in pursuit of his radical agenda.
Despite the pardons, on Feb. 8, the Missouri Supreme Court indefinitely suspended the law licenses of the McCloskeys after their misdemeanor convictions. The court found that by showing their weapons, the McCloskeys had engaged in unlawyerly conduct involving “moral turpitude.” At the same time, the court stayed the suspension, subject to a year of probation during which the two attorneys must “not engage in conduct that violates the Rules of Professional Conduct,” as The Epoch Times reported. Moral turpitude is a legal term describing “wicked, deviant behavior constituting an immoral, unethical, or unjust departure from ordinary social standards such that it would shock a community,” according to the Legal Information Institute at Cornell Law School.
