Biden Says Pope Told Him He Should Keep Receiving Communion Despite Abortion Support – Epoch Times

Biden met with Pope Francis in Vatican City behind closed doors. The topic of abortion did not come up, the president told reporters afterward. “We just talked about the fact that he was happy that I was a good Catholic,” he claimed. Asked if the pope said he should keep receiving communion, POTUS said “yes.” Biden has been in danger of being denied communion since the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops in June voted to approve the drafting of a document relating to how abortion supporters should be treated. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), another Catholic who supports abortion, was told the following month that “no one can claim to be a devout Catholic and condone the killing of innocent human life, let alone have the government pay for it.”

In their complaint, the plaintiffs wrote that “plaintiffs along with hundreds of thousands of other federal employees and active-duty service members will be terminated, discharged or separated on or before November 22, 2021.” “The Biden administration has shown an unprecedented, cavalier attitude toward the rule of law and an utter ineptitude at basic constitutional contours,” the plaintiffs’ attorney Michael Yoder told the network after Kollar-Kotelly’s ruling. Describing this mandate as “dangerous to American liberty,” Yoder said that “our Constitution protects and secures the right to remain free from religious persecution and coercion.”

Biden Administration Expands List of ‘Sensitive’ Places Where Immigration Officers Cannot Make Arrests – Epoch Times

President Joe Biden’s top homeland security official on Wednesday ordered immigration officers not to arrest illegal immigrants at a number of places, including food banks and shelters. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas detailed the safe spaces for illegal aliens in a memorandum to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers. “Sensitive locations” where officers were barred from detaining people in the country illegally previously constituted of a small number of settings, including churches, hospitals, and schools. The locations are now being referred to as “protected areas.” Mayorkas added social services establishments like homeless shelters, anywhere disaster or emergency relief is being provided, and places where children gather, including playgrounds, childcare centers, and school bus stops…
