False Gospels In The Church, Per 2 Thessalonians 2:9-15

This post addresses the recent preaching of the SBC from a different perspective than the post of February 6, 2022. A few very brief passages of scripture from 1 & 2 Thessalonians, mostly, are used to help accentuate the unbiblical nature of that teaching. The New Testament is full of verses that will critique these trendy SJ preachers, I used the above epistles because I am currently studying them, and every time I read through, I am troubled that such blatant examples of heresy are acceptable to so many professed Christians. 2 Thessalonians 2 is a frightening chapter in that it talks about how God raises up false teachers to feed those believers that refuse to love His truth. This is clearly happening in the SBC from a variety of pulpits. The best defense you could possess is a thorough knowledge of God’s word, while it is still available.

What if San Francisco Does Not Recover? – Epoch Times Commentary

San Francisco had tech and tourism. It does not have some other large industry that pays for city services. Also, San Francisco’s bloated budget is over $13 billion a year for a city of fewer than 900,000 people. What happens when the money dries up? It already happened last year, until the federal government bailed out the city. As reported in the San Francisco Chronicle in March 2021, the $1.9 trillion COVID relief bill paid off San Francisco’s deficit, allowing the city to avoid “painful cuts” to services. The article states that the bill “will erase the majority of San Francisco’s projected $650 million budget deficit over the next two years.” …When looking at San Francisco right now, does our situation look more like Detroit when the auto industry left? Or is it more like when New York City cleaned it up in the late 90s? [A republican, Guiliani, cleaned up NYC in the ’90s, an important fact to know prior to elections.]

Confronting the Medical Debate Around After-Birth Abortion – Epoch Times Commentary

The authors of the article, Alberto Giubilini and Francesca Minerva explain why “after-birth abortion”—the killing of newborn infants—should be permitted…. In their article, they argue that there is a serious philosophical issue when conditions, which exist after birth, are the same as those that exist during the gestational period. If the conditions before birth were to justify an abortion, then “after-birth abortion” would also be justified. In these cases, they contend, “we need to assess facts in order to decide whether the same arguments that apply to killing a human fetus can also be consistently applied to killing a newborn human.” They conclude that “killing a newborn could be ethically permissible in all the circumstances where abortion would be.” Even if newborn infants have the potential to lead an acceptable life, their killing would be justifiable whenever they are a burden on the family and/or society. …The authors’ advocacy for killing weak and vulnerable infants surely could be compared to, and could have been inspired by, the Nazi extermination handbooks of the 1930s that supported the killing of “unworthy” people who were gassed….

UN Giving ‘Humanitarian Cash’ to Migrants Heading to US Border – Epoch Times

A United Nations “cash-based interventions” program provides migrants heading to the U.S. border with debit cards, help with housing, transport, and medical assistance. The assistance is accessible in cities on the well-traveled routes from Latin America through Mexico. …Migrants there are issued debit cards that reload each month, according to Todd Bensman, who is reporting from the city of Tapachula at Mexico’s southern border with Guatemala. Bensman is the senior national security fellow at the Center for Immigration Studies. …In Tapachula on Jan. 14, a Haitian man was waiting for his 3,600 pesos owed (about $180), Bensman said. A Honduran woman said her cash card provided 2,500 pesos a month for four people. …Rep. Lance Gooden (R-Texas) recently introduced a bill to put a stop to U.S. payments to the UNHCR, the UN International Organization for Migration, and the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East. “U.S. taxpayers should not be subsidizing a mass invasion of our country by an endless stream of unknown and unvetted migrants,” Gooden wrote in a statement at the time.

He describes how the male student was placing his hands on the girl’s thigh and exposed her bra by pulling on her shirt. The girl asked him to stop but he continued. …The boy did not deny the girl’s accusations but accused the girl of the same actions. The boy was advised “there are consequences to his actions” and the father wants to place a “Stay Away” contract in place that prohibits him from speaking to her “by any means,” including through text messages, friends, and social media. …Despite the “Stay Away” agreement, Benjamin’s daughter texted him from school the next morning to let him know the boy was there and demanding to know why she had told people about the incident. …Benjamin contacted the school immediately and demanded they get his daughter into the safety of the principal’s office until he arrived. …The boy already had a known history of sexually assaulting girls at the school and was now admitting an inability to control his own actions. A few days later, Benjamin was horrified to learn from his daughter that one of her friends had become another victim of the same boy.

And the underlying core is exactly the same, and in the end, in most respects, the underlying goals are completely the same.” The presence of CRT in K–12 education has become a topic of debate, particularly in some of the nation’s recent high-profile elections. A number of GOP-led states have barred schools from using curricula based on critical race theory or The New York Times’s “1619 Project,” which critics have denounced as ahistorical and inaccurate. …“If you break off from the old culture … you can go into a whole new culture with a whole new model,” he continued. “What you have to do is foment hatred against the existing culture, or at least make people feel like it’s toxic, which is one of their favorite words.”
