The article in this post describes many and diverse incidents of rampant crime in Philadelphia. It also describes residents perspectives. Furthermore, it describes democrat responses, even that of Joe Biden who recently spoke there and railed against republican candidates for not wanting the rule of law. The point is that voters know they need someone sufficiently strong to stand against crime and cleanup this war zone so people who want to live in safe communities can remain there. This idea of a scientific consensus is, of course, the diametric opposite of what scientific inquiry is all about. It is completely ahistorical. History’s greatest minds and inventors were people who challenged the conventional wisdom of the day. It’s an updated version of the Flat Earth Societies in the Middle Ages that would imprison those who dared question the scientific consensus of the time…. The irony of the modern-day inquisitionists is that they are the very people who were the doomsayers of the 1970s who have been so consistently wrong about the future. They were the ones who said the Earth was cooling and that we were headed into another Ice Age. They were the ones who said we were running out of energy, food and farmland….
If anyone ever was a better candidate for the death penalty it is Nikolas Cruz. Four years ago the then-20-year-old shot and killed 17 people, most of them students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. Cruz pleaded guilty to all counts and last week came the sentencing phase. At least one juror held out for life in prison without the possibility of parole and that was enough. In a surprise twist, prosecutors are now calling for an investigation following a report that one of the jurors felt threatened by a fellow juror….
This is the age of censorship, pushed by government and interests and enacted by wholly-captured Big Tech firms. If you doubt it, look through the hundred or so pages of emails dug up in court discovery between government agencies and social media firms during the COVID crisis…. COVID was a major test case, but the model has been rolled out to cover a whole range of other topics including election fraud, vaccine safety, and climate change. If an issue is important to a powerful interest and prevailing government priorities, the censors are tasked to get to work.… Censorship is the tribute that lies pay to truth. If truth were not so powerful, no censorship would be necessary. Also, if the system of information distribution is highly controlled and narrow as it was in the 1970s and earlier, there would be no real need to silence anyone. Abbott, a Republican, said in a press release on Monday that the millions of lethal doses are enough to kill every man, woman, and child in the United States.
