What is Christian dominionism? From Got Questions dot Org

Christian Dominionists believe that God desires Christians to rise to power through civil systems so that His Word might then govern the nation. The belief that “America is a Christian nation” is sometimes called “soft dominionism”; the idea that God wants only Christians to hold government office and run the country according to biblical law is called “hard dominionism.” Dominion theology’s beliefs are based on Genesis 1:28, which says, “Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over….

The Normalization of God-Hating Is REAL – Good Fight Ministries – Paganism, Part 47

Good Fight Ministries: The song Unholy performed by Sam Smith at the 2023 Grammys tells the tragic story of a father/husband walking outside of the marriage covenant and into adultery. Kim Petras, the singer alongside Sam Smith, tells the media why it was they decided on such a twisted display. Why is it that this and so many of the popular performances today are so wickedly themed?

Ex-Catholic Exposes the TWISTED Teachings of the Catholic Church | Mike Gendron

Mike Gendron used around 40 slides to discuss the significant points of difference between the Protestant biblical gospel and the Roman Catholic Church (RCC) un-biblical gospel. His slides contained information which he added to as he discussed the opening graph of a timeline of the Christian church. He pointed out each departure of the RCC from God’s word. [It was a thorough presentation for being so short, 64 minutes. If you’re not clear on the specifics of how the RCC gospel differs from that of the Protestant evangelical church, then you will likely learn a lot by carefully attending to his points. He does get into the departure of evangelicalism from the Bible also, especially regarding the ecumenical movement spearheaded by the Pope, the Manhattan Declaration, regarding that movement, is attached in pdf form.]

America As The New Athens – Pastor Patrick Hines

The sermon of this post uses the apostle Paul’s speech to the Athenians from Acts 17, to explain our current culture and how we need to present the gospel message today. Pastor Hines explains that our culture is post-Christian and most do not know the basic historical foundational points of Christianity and believe, for example, that our worldview is only one option among many. [Many are becoming aware of what is happening in schools, how children are being indoctrinated into Pagan worldviews; but this type of indoctrination has been happening for 50 years or more in our culture, so many adults are unfamiliar with biblical truth that is essential to salvation and a correct understanding of themselves, God and purpose in living…. This sermon provides information that is as essential to Christians as R C Sproul’s dvd on the Christian Worldview.]

The White House Just Opened The Gates Of Hell In America

The 9-minute video of this post, is about president Biden’s signing into law the ‘respect of marriage act.’  Vlogger, John Henry shows three different clips of Biden as his views ‘evolved’ from opposition to promotion of gay marriage. In the process, he shows how pastors abandoning the preaching of God’s word have helped create this cultural environment. As he discusses the above, John Henry explains how Romans 1 describes the events we are living through as the outpouring of God’s wrath upon society.

Failed Pentecostal Missionary Tongues

The video in this post explains how the idea of speaking in tongues morphed in the early 20th century. The YouTube site, Digging Deeper: “The early Pentecostals all believed that the gift of tongues consisted of authentic human languages. Both Charles Fox Parham (Topeka Outpouring) and William J. Seymour (Azusa Street Revival) believed that. How is it then that most of today’s Pentecostals and Charismatics identify the gift of tongues as a spiritual language? The truth is that the redefinition of tongues happened because of a public embarrassment in the founding years of Pentecostalism. I call this event the Great Pentecostal Disappointment. Find out more about it in this video.”

Antithetical Doctrines Provide Gospel Clarity – Mike Gendron, Proclaiming The Gospel

This newsletter emphasizes the antitheses in our culture that make the light of the gospel brighter. Some of those he noted include: Jesus will remain in heaven until He appears a second time, without reference to sin (Heb. 9:28). ANTITHESIS: Rome’s false Christ returns every day to be offered for the sins of the living and the dead (CCC, 1374, CCC, 1414). Jesus finished the work of redemption on the cross (Hebrews 9:12, 10:12). ANTITHESIS: Rome’s counterfeit Christ continues the work of redemption on an altar (CCC, 1367, CCC, 1405). Jesus redeemed believers from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us (Gal. 3:10). ANTITHESIS: Rome’s false Christ requires Catholics to obey the law to attain salvation (CCC, 2068).

The Most Hated Christian Doctrine – John MacArthur

Dr. MacArthur opened his sermon by mentioning a few questions from a survey on evangelicalism; participant responses, by percentage, were given. That modern evangelicalism suffers from biblical illiteracy was apparent. He put that on church leaders for their teaching that falls short of scripture, and is largely devoid of truth. He talked about how hard it is to witness the biblical gospel because it must begin with ‘the most hated doctrine’ of scripture, that man is a depraved sinner. He used scripture to show what happened to Jesus, and then to the disciples for teaching that biblical gospel. [If you’re a new Christian, or have been under unbiblical teaching for some time, then this sermon will help you understand the biblical perspective of the gospel and witnessing it].

John MacArthur: MODERN DAY MIRACLES??

The following 2-minute sermon excerpt by the YouTube site, 5 Minute Christianity, makes the point that an apostle was present when every miracle of the New Testament occurred. MacArthur went on to specify that people in the churches of Acts had no ‘gift of healing’ as scripture indicates that many suffered illnesses unto death; he said that healing was given as a sign to show unbelievers that the apostle’s teaching was credible…. [Therefore, what is MacArthur implying about modern-day healers?]
