While reading the Bible this morning, I came across references to Baal and Asherah and needed to review those gods and how they were worshiped in the days of Israel. This is one of the articles I read; it is being posted because it considers and has links related to a trendy topic of our day, witchcraft. It is also beneficial reading for anyone who knows little or nothing about the idolatrous practices of Israel. Additionally, sexual immorality was a chief aspect of Israel’s sinning with the false gods; and our culture is filled with sexual immorality, much of it being accepted into the church. Since God is the same today as He was in the beginning, He undoubtedly views our idolatry and sexual immorality as He did Israels…. Therefore, Christians who want to follow God’s word, ought to know all they can about such topics

This post contains a 14-minute video which is built around the preaching of Paul Washer. The vlogger inserted comments intermittently and showed scenes from our culture to reflect Washer’s words about the big problem in the western world, the hatred of the Lord Jesus Christ. In the process, the LGBTQ movement was certainly mentioned, showing people on both sides of it; abortion was also mentioned. Washer talked about Romans 1 sins in his sermon, Romans, verses 1:18-32 are inserted below the video for those who might want to review them.

A race is being run and it is easy to notice the effort each runner is putting into winning. The apostle Paul used that analogy regarding the Christian life. I was greatly convicted as I watched this video, but also inspired….

This post contains two videos on hell. The first is 2-minutes 28-seconds in length; therein, Voddie Baucham provides a biblical explanation of hell that you may not have heard before. His explanation silences all those who say that it was unfair for God to have saved only some people from hell…. The second video, 15 minutes, is the son of pastor John Piper, Abraham Piper, who via Tic Toc rants and mocks hell. The video was produced because A Piper has over a million YouTube followers and his erroneous teaching needs to be challenged.

SBC Preacher J D Greear on Gay Marriage

The purpose of this post is to show what has happened to the values of, SBC preacher, J D Greear between the years of 2014 and 2021. He flip-flopped from holding biblical doctrine to holding un-biblical doctrine. In the initial video, from 2014, you will hear Pastors Voddie Baucham, Russell Moore and J D Greear discussing gay marriage. These men also say a lot about biblical marriage and what has happened via cultural influences. Each man was pro-Bible in his doctrine. In the second video, 2021, you will hear what J D Greear said then about gay marriage and homosexuality. His doctrinal stance had become anti-Bible. In the second video, sound advice is offered for SBC members.

This post contains an R C Sproul teaching video that I had used as part of another post. I am posting it by itself because it will likely be missed by those who had no interest in learning about ‘The Nearness,’ a new movement for those who consider themselves, ‘spiritual but not religious.’ Sproul’s message talks about something all church goers have likely experienced but possibly haven’t thought much about or could not define, the experience one has as he enters into the building of the church and leaves behind the secular world and mindset. If you have never had such an experience, then Sproul’s lecture is a must for you to hear. It is part of a 6-part teaching, but stands alone. The series is linked for those who might want to know more. Lecture highlights are set in bullet points before the video.
