Spurgeon’s morning thoughts are about how God’s truth sanctifies a believer. Therein, he explains mortification, vivification and perseverance. His evening thoughts contrast those who value the things of God with those who value the empty things of this world. The information in each will help you assess your own Christian walk, mindset….

Tyrese SLAMS Satan Worship and Prays on Live TV | Voddie Baucham
The following video shows celebrities, talk show hosts, a sports commentator, Paul Washer and Voddie Baucham taking a stand for Christ and talking of Him openly; it contrasts those people with those taking an open stance for Satan. The sports commentator’s remarks about sin were very helpful: he used scripture to talk about sin, but he also included himself in that group of sinners. He was able to confront the biggest cultural issues in a humble, loving manner.
They Tried To Block This Video: Paul Washer
This post contains a 14-minute video which is built around the preaching of Paul Washer. The vlogger inserted comments intermittently and showed scenes from our culture to reflect Washer’s words about the big problem in the western world, the hatred of the Lord Jesus Christ. In the process, the LGBTQ movement was certainly mentioned, showing people on both sides of it; abortion was also mentioned. Washer talked about Romans 1 sins in his sermon, Romans, verses 1:18-32 are inserted below the video for those who might want to review them.
1 Corinthians 9:24 …So run that you may obtain it [the imperishable prize]
This post contains a thoughtful video short on 1 Corinthians 9:24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it.
A race is being run and it is easy to notice the effort each runner is putting into winning. The apostle Paul used that analogy regarding the Christian life. I was greatly convicted as I watched this video, but also inspired….
Coming to a Street Corner Near You: Youth Arrested for Handing Out Bibles – The New American
Within four minutes of participating in a rally in Calgary, Canada, supporting a student’s defiance of the woke agenda being promoted in his high school, Josh Alexander was arrested. His alleged crime? Handing out Bibles to the student participants. The real reason? Josh Alexander, for whom the rally was named (the “I Stand with Josh Alexander” International Walkout Protest), has a history of defying the authorities in the name of Jesus Christ. …Kicking Josh out of school for expressing his Christian beliefs regarding sexuality and gender is unlawful religious discrimination.
The application details the shockingly discriminatory conduct of teachers and students at St. Joseph’s, as well as Principal [Derek] Lennox’s retaliatory decisions to suspend and exclude Josh for expressing his beliefs and organizing a student walk-out to protest St. Joseph’s policy of permitting biological males to enter and use the girls’ washrooms.
I’m Stuck in Sexual Sin — Should I Excommunicate Myself? – Ask Pastor John
This post contains 3 videos: the one titled above is second. I clicked on a 1-minute video from my YouTube notification page yesterday, and was busy doing something and the next two videos that played are posted here in that order. They are all related and relevant to the second video titled above. How so? The first video is what one is not able to do if he / she is addicted to sexual sin; the third video is an answer to that problem from the pen of C H Spurgeon. It is about how the Lord sanctifies those whom He has drawn to Himself.
Your Doctrine is not Enough – C H Spurgeon
This post contains a 3-minute C H Spurgeon devotional about the resurrection based on the following text: Philippians 3:10 that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death. His big point is that believing in the resurrection is the foundation or the root of the spiritual fruit of fellowship with Christ
Where can seekers find community outside organized religion? Meet The Nearness – RNS [Part 1 of 2]
This post contains an article from Religious News Service on a new spiritual coop called, The Nearness. I am NOT recommending this coop, but am critiquing it from a biblical perspective. This is part 1 of 2 ; the second part contains three one-minute videos and a 25-minute video: one by MacArthur on the difference between religion and biblical Christianity; one that describes The Nearness, from their YouTube site; one on a new course they are offering; and a video by R C Sproul that explains encounters with God. Therein, he uses scripture and personal testimony of his conversion. Part 2 will be posted tomorrow
