False Christian teachings, trends….
This post contains comments from Alexander MacLaren on Philippians 4:8 and 9. I read it this morning after reading through Philippians. I believe that his comments are a prescription for the ailment of backsliding and commented on that while introducing the text. Also, some of his words describe current events which I commented on after MacLaren’s thoughts ended. If you have been struggling in your walk of faith, then you may find some specific direction and motivation herein.
Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley on Sunday claimed the 2022 midterms will make or break Republicans, arguing that if the GOP doesn’t win back Congress, “there won’t be 2024.” “If we don’t win in 2022, there won’t be a 2024,” said Haley, a Republican, during a Fox News appearance on Sunday. “So we need to stay humble, disciplined, and win that.” Haley, the former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, did not elaborate.
England’s publicly funded healthcare system, The National Health Service, recently made a big announcement: By spring of 2023, the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust will shut down its Gender Identity Development Service (GIDS). For the uninitiated, GIDS offers various services to children struggling with gender identity issues. The NHS announcement was long overdue. In truth, Tavistock is an “absolutely broken institution,” and GIDS appears to have done far more harm than good. As The Daily Mail’s Sue Reid recently noted, the decision to close GIDS is “a vital and long overdue step in righting the wrongs of what could perhaps be the biggest medical scandal this century—the routine use of puberty-blocking drugs on children.” Not just a few children either. Thousands of children.
It’s humorous though very predictable to see the muted response to former President Donald Trump’s clean-up in the latest primaries…. The facts are that Trump led the estimable Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in the CPAC poll on the weekend in Dallas by 45 points. Trump’s endorsements were widely sought, and so far, 95 percent of incumbents whom he endorsed have been successful in their quest for renomination, and approximately 67 percent of those who were not incumbents have been successful…. The midterm elections in less than three months should confirm Trump as the presumptive next president. It will be his obligation to appear less frightening to moderate voters than he often has before. But there can be no pillory of him as there was in 2016 of being a racist, sexist, incompetent, a warmonger, and even a madman in the pay of a hostile foreign power. All of the nonsense about Russia, and Charlottesville, and Trump’s supposed extremism, has been debunked.
Catholics have been indoctrinated with the premise that the Roman Catholic Church is the one true church founded by Christ 2000 years ago. They claim protestant churches began only 500 years ago. Are they correct? Is there a “one true church”? And if there is, can we identify the one true church? The answers to these important questions can be found throughout the New Testament. Mike’s argument consists of the following headings: Who Are Members of the True Church? The Professing Church Is Not the True Church; Roman Catholicism Is Not the True Church; There Is Only One Door to the True Church; The Spiritual Promises Given to the True Church; The Privileges of the True Church; and, The Protection of the True Church.
People in some countries are already suffering from a lack of staples. Wars, government corruption, and natural disasters have brought in their wake starvation and malnutrition, often leading to unrest among the afflicted. Sri Lankans, for instance, recently toppled their government, in part because its restrictions on chemical fertilizers resulted in massive crop failures. In the Netherlands, farmers are rebelling, peacefully so far, against their government’s “green” restrictions on cows and pasturelands. Here in the United States, there’s debate over whether food shortages are looming in the near future. Some experts laugh at this idea, while others, including farmers, warn that bad weather, the rising costs of food production, particularly with higher prices for diesel fuel and fertilizer, and a broken supply chain will lead to empty shelves in grocery stores by the fall. Certain federal policies seem almost deliberately aimed at creating a crisis rather than managing one. … Given this uncertain future, we might heed that old chestnut: “Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.” And there are several ways we can easily do so….
A top European leader has denounced the global COVID-19 “vaccine campaign” as the “biggest crime ever committed on humanity.”
German politician Christine Anderson, a Member of the European Parliament, issued a powerful statement condemning vaccination programs around the world. Anderson warned that “unscrupulous” “globalist elites” are waging war on humanity by forcing the public to get vaccinated. “This vaccine campaign will go down as the biggest scandal in medical history and, moreover, it will be known as the biggest crime ever committed on humanity,” said Anderson.
Earlier in the week, Twitter users who attempted to click on an Epoch Times link on the platform were told that the link “may be unsafe.” “The link you are trying to access has been identified by Twitter or our partners as being potentially spammy or unsafe,” Twitter said. The link could be “malicious” and attempting to steal personal information, “spammy” and trying to mislead people, “violent or misleading,” or otherwise in violation of Twitter rules, according to the warning. [When I clicked on a link via American Faith, from my google mail account, via my pc; I got the same message; I wanted to read, COVID Vax Is ‘Biggest Crime Ever Committed on Humanity’: EU Leader; I just got there and will be posting this article later, but I fell for the scam, it is a scam to suppress truth!]
Dr. James Boyce was preaching on the Jubilee year today. As he talked about the various aspects of this topic, he came to discuss the kinsman redeemer. I was familiar with that idea from the book of Ruth; but I did not know that Boaz was a type of Christ. The initial 3 minutes of the following mp4, are about the kinsman redeemer and how it is that the Lord Jesus Christ fulfills that role to us; the other 7 minutes of the sermon include some related material about property…regarding the Jubilee year.

He then spent a couple of minutes talking about the craftspeople that the Lord provided for fashioning the Ark and for recent updates at Sermon Audio. If you have read about the creation of the Tabernacle and / or Solomon’s temple, then you will have noted that the Lord’s provided expert craftsmen for the various types of work that had to be completed.
