In the video of this post, Pastor Michael Grant summarized the two-hour documentary on David Platt. He also showed clips of sermons by Platt. Therein, Platt was teaching CRT, preaching “White privilege.” That is about as far as a pastor can get from teaching the Bible.
What happens between death and the final resurrection, the so-called “intermediate state”?
The sermon of this post is from MLJTrust, they described it as follows: In this sermon on “The Intermediate State,” Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones presents and explains several views on the intermediate state. Some propose that souls sleep until Jesus comes again; some argue that the dead reside in Abraham’s bosom or a place of suffering until the final judgment; others argue that only those who have eternal life with God will even exist eternally, a view called conditional mortality. But what does the Bible say? Dr. Lloyd-Jones presents a biblical case for why both believers and unbelievers will live eternally, either with God or apart from Him forever in suffering.
The sermon in this post is by Martyn Lloyd-Jones, and is on the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper. MLJTrust provided a sermon description and breakdown. That may be sufficient for some, but I encourage you to hear the sermon. His teachings are biblical and he presented his material in a manner that makes it very understandable. Knowing God’s intention in these sacraments and how they are signs and seals will certainly enrich your walk with the Lord. [He spent some time explaining how the idea of the Roman Catholic Church, transubstantiation, is not biblical.]
There are two videos in this post. The first is about the immigrant gang problem in NYC and the next is about the housing crisis that New Yorkers are experiencing. The vlogger, who did both videos, apparently lives in NYC and provides many specifics. My purpose in posting these is to give voters a glimpse of a democrat run city, and democrat soft-on-crime policies in operation.

This post is related to the last post which was on the David Platt scandal. The video of this post is an interview by Allie Beth Stuckey of Relatable. She interviewed Seth Gruber. Stuckey and Gruber were discussing definitions that the political left redefined and persuaded evangelical pastors to take up and preach about. That is, those pastors became pawns of the left, and their congregants were the collateral damage. In the process of their discussion, Gruber mentioned a half-dozen names of “woke” pastors; Gruber also mentioned a useful book on this topic, Megan Basham’s, Shepherds for Sale
The California sheriff speaking in the video short of this post tells viewers how Harris actually conducted herself regarding a specific case that was the basis of a political ad of the Harris campaign. He thereafter noted that he actually supports Donald Trump because Trump promotes law enforcement, whereas Harris does not.
This post contains a MLJ sermon on the sacraments wherein he clearly explains how they act as a sign and a seal. His illustration of a seal is easy to remember and to understand and will facilitate believers in having more value for the sacraments. MLJTrust provided a sermon overview and breakdown.
What is the purpose of baptism? Why did Jesus teach baptism after someone is saved? In this sermon on the sacrament of baptism (the second sermon in his series on the sacraments of the church), Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones walks through a topic sometimes debated even amongst believers. Baptism’s meaning, he says, is an outward illustration of the inward cleansing from the pollution of sin. Its purpose is not to cleanse from sin and regenerate because that would mean that people are saved through the work of baptism, something that Scripture clearly denies. So, what does it accomplish? Baptism serves as a sign and seal of one’s justification and remission of sins. And yet, he says, not everyone is eligible to be baptized. This teaching runs counter to the Catholic teaching on baptism….
This post contains an 8-minute video with a specific update on John MacArthur’s health by him. His congregation was very pleased to have him at the church again, as was I to see him. I’ve been listening to him since I was converted, 20 years ago. He has impacted Christians all over the globe.
