ACLU-Led Coalition Warns Biden Administration Against Menthol Ban, Citing ‘Racial Justice Implications:’ Epoch Times

A coalition led by the American Civil Liberties Union is urging the Biden administration not to ban menthol cigarettes. Such a ban would “have serious racial justice implications” and would “trigger criminal penalties, which will disproportionately impact people of color, as well as prioritize criminalization over public health and harm reduction,” the coalition wrote in a letter this week to Health Secretary Xavier Becerra and acting Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Janet Woodcock.

Ponder These Words For Your Spiritual Health

Since I read the following words from Jonathan Edwards diary, I’ve taken great comfort in them, especially at times of personal failure. Those words also make me want to learn how to lean on the Holy Spirit instead of myself. I am posting them without comment that you might read and reread them, because such observations are not easy to come by in modern evangelicalism.

76,000 California Violent, Repeat Felons Get Earlier Releases: Epoch Times

Republican state Sen. Jim Nielsen, who once headed the state parole board, criticized Gov. Gavin Newsom’s administration for unilaterally deciding to make the changes. “He’s doing it on his own authority, instead of the will of the people through their elected representatives or directly through their own votes,” Nielsen said. “This is what I call Newsom’s time off for bad behavior. He’s putting us all at greater risk and there seems to be no end to the degree to which he wants to do that.” [Additionally there are two video examples of how other lenient leftist democratic laws are harming this nation]

Divine Wisdom For The Family, by Dr. John MacArthur

If all of man’s accumulated knowledge since the beginning of recorded history were represented by one inch until 1845; then from 1845 – 1945 would equal 3 inches; from 1945 – 1975 would equal 555 feet; according to Buckminster Fuller (inventor, innovator and mathematician) who presented his ‘doubling curve’ in 1982, in his best seller, Critical Path. His argument was that our accumulation of knowledge since the end of WWII, had jumped from doubling approximately every century to doubling every 25 years. …presently, every 12 hours our accumulated knowledge doubles. We are in a world of exploding knowledge we can barely keep up with; however, we are still described in scripture as fools; men and nations walk in an empty-minded manner, darkened in sin and ignorance such that they cannot understand divine truth.
