Congressional Probe Into Hunter Biden Neutralized Blackmail Risk: Ron Johnson

The report found that Hunter Biden’s work for Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company, while his father was in charge of U.S. policy toward the country, had the appearance of conflict of interest and “was very awkward for all U.S. officials pushing an anticorruption agenda in Ukraine.” It also claimed that Hunter Biden, his family, and a former business partner of Hunter Biden’s, Devon Archer, “received millions of dollars from foreign nationals with questionable backgrounds.” The report also found that Hunter Biden made millions of dollars worth of “questionable transactions” with Chinese nationals connected to the Chinese communist regime and military.

There’s no mention in the NDAA defense bill of Section 230 of the Communications and Decency Act, he noted. Trump said the 1996 law “must be repealed,” as it facilitates “the spread of foreign disinformation online,” making it a “serious threat to our national security and election integrity.” Both Republicans and Democrats have called for Section 230 to be repealed. Conservatives have said it enables social media companies such as Twitter and Facebook to make discretionary choices in censoring dissenting views, while some progressives have said the law fails to take “hate speech” posted on those platforms into account.

Los Angeles Drops Church Attendance Restrictions: Epoch Times

Los Angeles County says it’s dropping its tough restrictions on attendance at houses of worship after a series of recent U.S. Supreme Court rulings struck down pandemic-related church attendance limits across the country. “We are grateful for the U.S. Supreme Court’s rulings that are resulting in the unconstitutional worship bans falling like dominoes,” he said. “The Supreme Court has made it very clear that the courts and the states must begin applying the First Amendment to protect houses of worship. No pastor, church, or parishioner in America should have to choose between worship and prison.”
