“The Truth of God’s Word Vs. the Lies of Wokeism” Romans 1:18-32

The following video begins with an explanation of ‘wokeism’ and its origins.

The following 60-minute sermon provides a very good overview of the culture war we’re in; at the foundation of this war is a battle for truth. The enemy, Satan, is fighting with lies, half-truths.

Sermon HIGHLIGHTS [all bracketed statements, emboldening and underscoring are mine; some of his ideas are summarized by me]:

• Romans 1:18  For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, [NKJV]
• The only explanation for the cultural disintegration we are witnessing is that the wrath of God is being poured out upon this nation
• REPENTANCE must begin with the people of God
• One of the forces God has given humanity in this world to restrain evil is the church
• We are witnessing Satan’s effort to destroy the final hindrance to the establishment of a New World Order
• The contest is between the truth of God’s word and the lies of wokeism
• Psalm 11:3  If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do?
• Everything is built upon the FOUNDATION unit of the family, destroy it, then you destroy the church; destroy the church, then evil is not restrained
• The church must engage in this battle; our weapons are spiritual: 1, prayer; 2, courage to stand
• The future of this nation is at stake, but more importantly, the eternal destiny of your children is in danger because the enemy is focused on them
• Romans 1:24-28
• Rom 1:24  Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25  who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. 26  For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27  Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. 28  And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting;
• If no repentance occurs when God has permitted uncleanness, then the progression will continue to worsen, as it has in America
• [We have already experienced the drug and sexual revolution of the 1960’s; woman’s liberation movement of the 1970’s; the sexual revolution that increased thereafter; the homosexual revolutions of the 1980’s and following; and we’ve reached the depth of depravity wherein the minds of many are debased. Which will continue to worsen until the return of Christ….]
• When God’s word is suppressed, then the vacuum left by that is filled with belief in other kinds of things
• DEI; or Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is promoted by every aspect of our government for the fair treatment of all people, especially those who feel discriminated against because of race, sex, or chosen gender
• WOKEISM: is an evil ideology that is incompatible with the Christian Worldview, and with western values
• GOAL OF WOKEISM: the dismantling of and the rebuilding of this culture; the foundations of this culture must therefore be destroyed – the family unit
• Obama’s words: “The fundamental transformation of America” [now we know what that phrase means, we are seeing it unfold on the daily news]
• Under the guise of ‘social justice,’ the foundation of our nation is being destroyed and being replaced with cultural Marxism
• DEI training is experienced by everyone from ‘headstart to Harvard’
• The GOAL: all will embrace the sin of homosexuality, and soon thereafter, pedophilia and bestiality
• Many parts of our government are already onboard with this agenda
• Wokeism is entering the church; pastors are re-defining the gospel to incorporate the concepts of DEI, that all lifestyles might be acceptable
• Such pastors have given repentance from sin and salvation a back seat to culture
• Some of those pastors are as follows: Andy Stanley; Rick Warren; Russell Moore; David French; and Beth Moore
• How so? Why?
• They quit believing biblical doctrines [God’s sovereignty]
• Until the 1990’s public school ed was about teaching students to be productive citizens…
• Today, under DEI goals, ed goals focus on indoctrination and preparation for the new world order
• In this new order, they will own nothing and be happy [so every communist dictator tells his subjects when he discusses the theoretical utopia that has never yet materialized; only famine; genocide…]
• These new ed goals cause children to starve intellectually
• Transgender groomers and recruiters are in the schools
• Abagail Shearer’s book, Irreversible Damage highlighted
• She writes that children are being lured into transgenderism because it is trendy; and because teachers encourage them in that direction
• Teen depression and suicide stats noted
• Transgenderism has increased 1000% in the past decade
• Those involved in LGBTQ are less than 5% of our culture
• Since they control the culture, then we do not have a democracy
• Some other signs of God’s judgment of this culture: God has sent us wicked rulers / leaders; He has given us false pastors galore
• 2 Thessalonians 2:9  The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10  and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11  And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12  that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
• [If you read the Mission Statement post, found in CATEGORIES, there is a 10-minute video of Paul Washer’s preaching when he talks about this and the reasons why God does such; he also specifically defines true believers. I heard John MacArthur preach recently, that the ‘reprobate mind’ is the final stage of judgment. There is no indication of how long that state will worsen before Christ returns, however]
• Such delusional thinking says, “A woman can become a man” and there are 72 genders…
• Abraham Lincoln asked a man the following question: “How many legs does a dog have if we count the tail as a leg?” One responded with the answer 5. Lincoln said no so. “The fact that you called the dog’s tail a leg does not make it a leg.”
• That is, just because you identify as a man, a woman, a non-binary, as androgynous, does not make it so

• 27:30M Tic Toc is also an outlet for child trafficking and a site for pedophiles
• Rom 1:26  For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature
• The impact of verse 6 on family and marriages
• The liberated woman is deprived of the blessings of biblical marriage including the greatest one, having a partnership with God in bringing new life into the world
• 33M ~ Rom 1:27  Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due
• Stats regarding single men and women; dating; marriage among the young; reasons for those stats
• 35M ~ Rom 1:28  And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, [reprobate and useless mind in other translations], to do those things which are not fitting
• 41M ~ Rom 1:29  being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, …32  who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.  
• THE LEADERS OF THIS CULTURE AND MUCH OF THE POPULACE ARE BUSY DOING VERSE 32; THOSE WHO DO NOT PARTICIPATE ARE TARGETED AND CALLED HATE MONGERS…
• THOSE WHO SUPPORT WOKEISM ARE STRIVING DILIGENTLY TO MAKE SUCH SINS LEGAL AND ACCEPTABLE – TO NORMALIZE THEM
• Many church leaders are busy in the above endeavor also. [If you belong to such a church, you ought to leave asap]
• God’s judgment, has been progressively increasing since the 1960’s; that is seen in the increasing nature of the sexual sin we see in society
• Each generation has increase in wickedness
• Galatians 6:7  Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap
• 44M ~ In the 1920’s America’s higher ed suppressed truth via supporting the theory of evolution [eventually, creationism was not permitted to be taught in public schools; I received teaching in biology class about each in 1967]
• Psychology, self-esteem became popular in culture and in churches, preached by Norman V Peel; Schuller; Warren; Osteen…
• Prosperity and word-of-faith preachers have focused their congregations on getting material blessings… while they ignore sin and repentance
• That is, today’s version of evangelicalism ignores the central doctrines of the Bible [those who are not taught the doctrine of depravity, central to the topic of biblical redemption, have no need of a Savior… they don’t even know they are hell-bound]
• They are busy watering down doctrine to make the ‘unchurched’ sufficiently comfortable to enter into the church – not preaching repentance, those who do enter in, will continue unchanged unless they happen to become Bible readers
• 50M ~ That is, they preach a FALSE gospel, not a biblical one:
• Gal 1:8  But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed
• He reviewed, that when God is bringing down a nation, He sends them wicked rulers, preachers… [Isaiah chapter 3 focuses on the other side of the coin, describing God taking all men of substance from their culture and replacing them with women and children for rulers]
• 51M ~ God left His church in the world as the voice of truth; and His Spirit to restrain evil
• The mega-church movement of the 20^th century gutted the church of essential biblical doctrines and replaced those with entertainment
• Their entertainment masqueraded as high praise worship to God
• THEREFORE, the majority of church goers have no understanding of the Bible
• The source of true knowledge of God, who He is as described on the pages of scripture most do not know
• To many church goers, their God is one they have created in their own minds [if you have not, for example, read through the New Testament, then this is true of you. Make it a point to read just the gospel of Matthew to discover more about the God of scripture]
• 53M ~ If there is any hope of changing this culture, then it MUST begin in the church; the biblical church
• 2 Peter 3:11  Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, 12  looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? 13  Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells
• 1Kings 18:21  And Elijah came to all the people, and said, “How long will you falter between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” But the people answered him not a word
• In conclusion, parents need to know what their children are watching to keep them from succumbing to this wokeism; transgenderism…
• Radical government education is trying to get your kids
• Survey: many children who expressed interest in homosexuality did so via the encouragement of their teachers
• Know that the greatest influence parents can exercise over their children is a godly marriage
• Don’t say anything about what is happening in the White House, if your own house is [unstructured, permissive, woke, broken…]
