In the following video, vlogger John Henry showed numerous examples of Christian persecution that is going on in North America in 2023. He also shared clips of pastors MacArthur and Baucham talking about persecution and why it happens.
MacArthur noted that approximately 160 thousand Christians die from persecution every year since the 1990s. I recently posted a video on that which is linked near the end of this post.

- John MacArthur: persecution is not because Christians are not nice, kind…, but it is because of their message that sinners will go to hell if they do not repent and believe in Christ’s gospel
- Coworkers, neighbors, acquaintances… may seem to be friendly and congenial until you mention the name ‘Jesus Christ,’ then they scatter or worse
- By mentioning repentance from sin, salvation from hell, faith in Christ alone, you create estrangement and enemies
- Pastor Baucham stated that the temptation is to quietly live your Christian life without mentioning the name of Christ [outside church and your own home]
- 1 Corinthians 1:23 but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles, 24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

- Pastor MacArthur: parents will deliver you to the authorities… [that is becoming much more real in this Marxist society where even the church is aligning with Marxism to avoid persecution, as clearly seen in some Southern Baptist Convention churches]

- Pastor Baucham: 2 Timothy 4:3 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, 4 and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths
- Why do we need to be charged to preach the gospel?
- Because there is a price to pay and we will be tempted to compromise for self-protection
- John Henry: why would any hate a message of salvation from sin and hell?
- To ‘believe’ in Christ is to deny self; to submit and obey Him
- Luke 14:26 “If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple
- John 3:19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil
- That is, people want to keep their sin and the pleasure it gives them and refuse to come to the light of Christ and His gospel
- [That is why, even for Christians, temptation is difficult to endure: turning from our beloved sins requires the grace of God and help of His Spirit, it is spiritual warfare]
- Baucham: be ready to give an answer about your hope with kindness
- John 15:18 “If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you
- John 14:16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever

Dr. Hammond indicated below that Marxist regimes were responsible for the deaths of 160 million civilians in the 20th century; they are also responsible for most of the Christian persecution he discusses.
The church in America is embracing CRT and other Marxist ideology [as I stated in more than one post, one cannot claim to represent Christ and Anti-Christ at the same time; such churches, though trendy, are doing just that, as Marxism is atheistic and claims Satan as a mentor].
