Dr. Poythress divided this series into three parts: God’s sovereignty in His universe; Christ’s victory over demons; how we bring Christ’s victory into application.
The first part is longest and is like a worship service at a PCA church, it was a chapel service at Westminster. In this service, Dr. Poythress, lays the groundwork for discussion of how to deal with demonic attacks, which he delves into in the following two sessions.
All three sessions rely heavily upon scripture.
A foundational point that he emphasizes is that Christians, especially pastors and missionaries must be prepared to deal with the world of darkness.
