The following 6 minute video, by What Shall I Cry Ministries, shows 7 types of false preachers described by Alistair Begg: 1. the cheerleader; 2, the conjurer; 3, the storyteller; 4, the entertainer; 5, the systematizer; 6, the psychologist; and 7, the prophet, giving extra biblical word.
The vlogger who posted this video did not identify the preachers that pastor Begg critiqued, and I am sorry to say that I did not recognize any of them. I am very aware that pastor Begg is a sound biblical preacher however, as I have listened to him preach many times;I trust that his critiques were spot on.
How do you avoid sitting under such unbiblical preachers as those shown in the above video? Read through your Bible; study it; read commentators that have a good reputation, such as those found on the free Bible software E-sword. By doing such things, you could be enabled to discern biblical preaching and a biblical church.
