The following is the January Newsletter of Mike Gendron’s ministry, Proclaiming the Gospel. He was a Roman Catholic for 37 years until he was born again. Thereafter, he and his wife started a ministry whereby they minister the gospel to Catholics, as he understands the errors of the Roman Catholic Church.
For interested Catholics, the following two links are to other posts from this blog wherein former Roman Catholics speak of being converted and leaving the Catholic church. The conversion stories of Mike Gendron and of Fred Tarsitano.

The Gospel’s Twelve Most Important Words |
It has been said that the Gospel is so simple that a young child can hear it, understand it and believe it, yet so profound that a theologian can spend a lifetime studying its glorious transcendent truths. It is the greatest news anyone will ever hear because it offers a free and complete salvation from the punishment and power of sin, and a glorious inheritance in the everlasting kingdom of God awaits all believers. With such divine promises of pardon, peace and protection, every Christian must proclaim it faithfully, contend for it earnestly guard it passionately (Jude 3; Mat. 28:18-20; 2 Tim. 1:14). Our set of 12 Gospel Cards has become one of our most popular evangelistic resources. It has helped many people know, understand and protect the purity of the Gospel. About the size of a deck of playing cards, each card defines and explains the 12 most important words of the Gospel using Scripture. They have been a most helpful tool for Christians who feel they do not know the Gospel well enough to share it. These cards can not only equip and encourage people to gain a deeper understanding of the Gospel, they can also be used to evangelize the lost. Whenever people use the cards in witnessing opportunities, they can be confident they have shared the complete Gospel. There are many other ways the Gospel Cards can be used to equip the saints and evangelize the lost. At the State Fair of Texas, we laid them out in our booth and asked people to consider each of the 12 words. Then we asked, “Since your eternal destiny may depend on your understanding of these words, which one would you like to know more about?” The card people picked up most often was the one labeled “Sin.” Perhaps they were looking for a loophole. After they read the definition and explanation of sin according to Scripture, they continued picking up other cards to see how they could be forgiven. We also use them at dinner parties with both believers and unbelievers. After dinner, we ask each person to take a card. Then each person, in turn, explains what their word means without looking at the definitions on the back. Then the rest of the table offers their explanations of the word. The card is then turned over and the four bullet points are read to see what was missed. At the end of the evening, most of our dinner guests have shared how the conversations were so rich and meaningful. People have also used the Gospel Cards to teach their children and grandchildren, and to share in their Sunday School classes and home Bible studies. Additionally, the cards can be used as the biblical standard to discern the true Gospel from counterfeit gospels. Take them with you in your pocket or purse and be ready for divine appointments. Each set of cards comes in a clear vinyl container. Quantity discounts are available and the Twelve Gospel Cards can be ordered here. When you order 8 sets here, you will receive a complimentary copy of Mike’s book Preparing for Eternity. |

Letters to Equip and Encourage the Saints |
Mike, My question has to do with the Catholic version of Mary. They say Jesus has Mary’s DNA. How is that possible? He would have a partial sin nature. My understanding is that a body was prepared for Jesus at the time of conception by the Holy Spirit. Please help. Hi Shirley, You are so right! But this is why the Catholic Church declares Mary to be sinless. When Mary is exalted to a state of sinlessness, it shifts the focus from Christ’s unique nature to a false declaration of Mary’s holiness. It implies that Christ’s sinlessness is made possible by Mary’s supposed purity rather than His divine nature. This is a grave theological error. Christ’s sinlessness is not contingent upon a sinless lineage but is an intrinsic attribute of His divine personhood. Mike, I heard that victory was achieved when Jesus died on the cross. However, I did not understand that until I heard your viral message and I am starting to believe that there is now hope for eternal life. As you say, Jesus declared on the cross ‘It is finished’ and the path to Heaven is through God’s Grace. I have heard many readings from Priests, and I felt that I would never be worthy enough to be present with the Lord for eternity. I have thanked Jesus for introducing your message to me and for the light that you shared from the Scriptures. I praise Jesus for your knowledge and proclamation. I have never understood His Word like I do when you speak. I am fully engaged when you deliver your messages. Thank you for cutting through many years of my own confusion, inner conflict, hopelessness and despair through a guilt-ridden Catholic upbringing. S.W., Western Australia Mike, I read your article on Anyone Who Distorts The Gospel is Accursed. As a Catholic priest, I must be direct and let you know that your “Six requirements added for salvation” is patently false and bears no likeness to what the Catholic Church teaches about salvation. Here’s my honest thought, however on the work you do: if any Catholic leaves the Catholic Church due to your ministry, then he surely could not have understood his faith to begin with and maybe he needs to be re-introduced to Christ through your efforts. God works that way sometimes. So I say “good luck to you.” As for Pope Francis, he is certainly a confusing man, irritating in what he tolerates, perhaps a bad pope indeed as he does not seem to guide us clearly in morals and doctrines. He has many personal flaws. But Popes come and go. The Catholic faith carries on with or without them. And always will because Christ promised it be so. Fr. W.B., Buckeye, AZ Sir, After just a couple minutes of your presentation I am shocked that you are so blinded by your own egotistic conclusions. Your premise is so messed up! Ego and sinfulness will always attack the church that Peter and the Apostles founded as appointed by Jesus. J.S., Internet Hello Mr. Gendron, After many years doing everything possible to stay close to Jesus Christ through the Eucharist, the Bible and your many messages (especially on the Eucharist), I am forever grateful to be born again in the Spirit, a believer of Jesus Christ. The majority of my Catholic family members have either ostracized me or considered me a fool. None of that can dampen the joy God has given me as I continue my faith-filled journey and “proclaiming the Good News to others” through your resources and other Biblical-based information. Thank you very much for sharing the faith. May God bless you and your work of striving to save more than one billion Catholics in the world. T.H., Fairfax, VA Mike, I became familiar with your work by watching several videos on YouTube to help in my discussions with my parents who are still devout Catholics. Your book, Preparing for Eternity, is filled with a wealth of knowledge and is a great resource for leading me to exact Bible verses to reference when having talks with my family. My goal is not to give them what I believe, but to rely on God’s word to expose the false teachings of the Catholic Church and pray the Holy Spirit convicts them and opens their eyes. M.H., Dallas, GA Mike, Your videos compelled me to never give up. My 80 year old father, who was a devout Catholic, left the church and trusted Christ and the Bible. He passed five weeks later. My mom, age 76, trusted Christ too!! Your ministry is vital and I am so grateful. R.F., Dallas, TX |

Pope’s Devilish Decision Confirms Who He Is |
Pope Francis has once again confirmed he is the most influential false teacher in the world today. His decision to formally approve the blessing of same-sex couples by Catholic priests is a stark reminder of his opposition to God and His Word. He has forsaken the infallible Word of God for doctrines of demons (1 Tim. 4:1-3). The pope’s decision is a flagrant rebellion against the holy God of Creation who established marriage as a covenant between one man and one woman. His pronouncement continues the ongoing apostasy of the Roman Catholic Church. Rather than admonish same-sex couples with the truth that homosexuals will not enter the kingdom of heaven, the devilish pope seeks the approval of sinful men over the approval of a holy God (1 Cor. 6:9). Archbishop Viganò, who served as Apostolic Nuncio to the US for five years, attacked the pope in an Op-Ed in which he claimed his ruling over homosexual couples showed he is a “servant of Satan”. It is time for all God-fearing men and women to flee from this false church and heed the warning of the Lord Jesus. “Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves” (Mat. 7:15). Tragically, their cunning deception is leading millions down the wide road to destruction. |

Pope Appoints Pro-abortion, Pro-LGBT Man |
Pope Francis has appointed his longtime friend and fellow Argentinian Eugenio Raúl Zaffaroni to a Vatican position, despite Zaffaroni’s controversial record and his support for homosexuality and abortion. His record on life and family issues contradicts Catholic moral teaching. An additional controversy has long surrounded Zaffaronni. A 2011 investigation by Perfil found that numerous apartments he owned in Buenos Aires were being used for a lucrative prostitution business. Read more. |

The Vatican’s Trial of the Century |
The most complicated financial trial in the Vatican’s modern history has caused unintended revelations about Vatican vendettas, incompetence and even ransom payments. A Vatican judge indicted 10 people, including a once-powerful cardinal, on charges including embezzlement, abuse of office, extortion and fraud in connection with the Secretariat of State’s 350 million-euro investment in a London real estate venture.
